One should be so lucky to have such loving people give so selflessly in their lives. I do not know the teachings of Muhammad, but I can see the results. But we should all understand that we cannot get rid of ignorance without compassion. Parents reading this, please take this to heart: teach the children of the world that Love is the most precious asset one can attain and give. Love is achieved through compassion, compassion is achieved through understanding, understanding is achieved through education, and education SHOULD be achieved through the desire to love and be loved.

The media should cover this kind of news more often to inform and inspire people to be kind, compassionate and charitable towards each other as human beings.

I used to be a trainer, having multiple nationalities attend weeks long courses. I used to have a "favorite food day" in the first week where students bring their own favorite foods, which were always national dishes. It never ceased to amaze me how quickly the barriers fell and friendships even formed among nationalities who were at war in their home countries...
