Now this an agree with. Rational smooth taking. This young man is smart indeed to hold his own agents advance Muslim teachers. Good talk. I enjoyed this. I listen often, however it’s becoming a challange because often there is loud yelling over one another. I don’t want my child around that sort of behavior. Thank you for your work.

Josh is likeable. But I don't see why it should be difficult to grasp that there are 2 options/categories only, either (1) always or (2) NOT always, and all the other "options" are models of one of those two categories.

Mansur argument is the two : universe is eternal or began at some point and when he says existence, existence of everything..dont care other universe, multiverse, vice versa, versallies, etc. but i dont understand why the atheist only limits existence to our universe only..even if he's found the solution or the answer to our universe ONLY, it still doesn't solve the whole question.. cause we're talking about existence as a whole, doesn't matter if there's an aliens in that other universe... but i respect the young man, cause at least he's not emotional and he's steady throughout the discussion..i like the guy, he's defending his argument or opinion, but he's calm

هذا الشاب ذكي و يظن أنه ذكي و يسعى في زيادة ذكائه فيبحث عن كل الآراء و النظريات التي تستفز ذكائه سواء أكانت صحيحة او لا لكنه في رحلته في هذا السعي خسر إداركه الفطري و معيار الخطأ و الصواب و صار يعبد الذكاء و قد توصل إلى الغاية النهائية أنه مهما بلغ علم الإنسان فهو جاهل.. و لو عرف المزيد ما تحمل هذا الكم من المعرفة فتراه عند نهاية كل خط ممدود و نهاية كل نظرية يعترف بالجهل البشري و مدى محدودية علمه متناسيا الحكمة و الهدف من المعرفة.. و أنه يكفينا منها ما يساعدنا على معرفة خالق هذه المعرفة

The model the young man is trying to explain for a "third option" doesn't sound too different from what the man on the right talked about, the "infinite cyclism" of the universe and its Big Bangs -- in the plural. The young man is trying to explain a finite but "boundless" universe, using the shape of the sphere as an example, because the sphere has a finite shape but you can circumvent it indefinitely. Infinite cyclism is also typically represented by a circle. Ultimately, the simplification of the model the young man is trying to explain is that the "third option" isn't really a third option, at least not in the scientifically proven and simple, comprehensible sense; it is, in fact, a [binary] mix of the only two options: finite and infinite, temporal and always there. Thus, the young man, and his proposed model from Steven Hawking's book, haven't proven that there's a third option; they merely combined the only two options into one entity, the universe. And it is from that model that the hypothesis of the infinite cyclism of the universe took inspiration, combining something almost certainly finite, the universe, with infinity, cyclism. In this case, combining both possibilities isn't really giving you any third possibility; there are still only two possibilities, finiteness and infinity.

A cyclical model of the universe is a hypothesis which is an opinion and not a scientific fact. The Big Bang theory (not hypothesis) is still the most accepted model by cosmologists and it states that the universe is 13.8 billion years old and hence finite

@@DawahWise I definitely agree with the Big Bang being a much more dependable and well-supported theory than the idea of infinite cyclism for the universe, which doesn't have actual evidence to support it and was invented just to avoid the question of who created the universe. I'm not against the possibility that the universe may "implode" after the current expansion phase is over (of course, talking theoretically here, as Judgment Day may occur well before the universe stops expanding in the theoretical sense), but extending that implosion to another explosive expansion in a never-ending cycle is definitely a stretch of the imagination that makes many absurd assumptions, like the assumption that the energy for those future bangs is self-contained, despite us seeing that energy in the universe, mainly from stars, clearly depletes by the stars dying out, and the assumption that organized galaxies and orbits can result from such bangs without design.

Yeah, I think he's trying to say it's a bit of both depending on how we define 'universe'. If we mean everything within this light cone, then *this iteration wasn't always here but with cyclic models there would have been a prior universe to this one. Sir Roger Penrose calls each universe 'aeons' in his conformal cyclic cosmology. So in this sense 'some' kind of universe has always existed. But you're right - there isn't much hope for empirical verification on these ideas - mostly because we can't access the information if it were there. Mathematically they work in principle, but there really isn't any consensus among cosmologists as to whether the universe is eternal or not.

Hence, these mathematical models, like the one postulated by Penrose et al, will never reach the status of a theory like the Big Bang Theory (the most popular model we have at present about the origin of universe).

@@DawahWise I guess it depends on one's view of mathematics. Physics works using mathematics - Einstein was able to predict gravitational waves using mathematical model. But they all have issues which are contested among cosmologists. I should point out that these models are not alternatives to Big Bang cosmology - eg: Sir Roger Penrose's CCC incorporates Big Bang cosmology into his model. This is because - as you say - Big Bang cosmology is very much confirmed and accepted as the consensus. ie: any theory will need to be consistent with Big Bang cosmology. I think cosmologists will have their own preferred model and are in a better position than us to judge. But I certainly agree with you that I think it's prudent for non-cosmologists (like us) not to be committed to any of these models until there's stronger empirical evidence to favour one.

i am not a scientist nor a very learned man but with WISDOM these things are unnecessary. 4-5 years ago during a session with a few J.W. elders. the discussion was about the beginning...i don't know why i said it but i came to a point where i said G-D is NOTHING. Of course they flipped out and said "O khalid, you don't believe in G-D...i said that's not what is to be meant. Nothing is no thing and our CREATOR is not a thing but every thing radiates from HIM... Then i asked them to look at the number 0, and do you notice that every other number comes from it... salam and a happy Ramadan

That’s misleading an unwise. Nothing doesn’t exist but Allāh ﷻ certainly exists. The correct terminology is as Allāh states in the Quran Allah said, in Ash-Shura 42:11 ‎لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِۧ شَىْءٌۖ meaning: This verse means that nothing is similar to Allah in any way. It is a muhkam verse; a verse that only has one meaning according to the Arabic language. It is explicit, not ambiguous nor figurative. The only meaning it can possibly have is that nothing resembles Allah. It means that there is nothing common between Allah and His creations; that Allah is not like anything, and nothing is like Him; that every creation is not similar to Allah in any way what so ever

@@DawahWise never said HE did not exist, be very aware of this. i said that every thing is from THE CREATOR but THE CREATOR is not a thing that HE needed to be created. Does zero exist as is? Without it nothing can come to existence , it is the beginning of all numbers thru infinity. Just as all creations emerge from THE CREATOR whom was NOT created, but just is and was. There was NO THING (nothing) until HE created, so HE is not a thing. Never said that HE didn't exist...

Secondly - if I told you that there is another Creator who created the Creator, you would say to me and whoever created the other Creator, I will tell you another creation, and thus it will be an endless chain. So you need to understand that Creator is not a creation There was never “nothingness” There was someone,who always existed and always exists and will continue to exist.

@@rogerx1979 could someone drop a drinking glass on the sidewalk and expect that it would hit the ground and on impact it would not shatter, but it would divide up into little small drinking glasses, with iced tea in them? Of course not. if a tornado came through a junkyard and tore through the old cars; would it leave behind a nice new Mercedes with the engine running and no parts left around? Naturally not. After considering all these things , how could we look to the universe above us through a telescope or observe the molecules in a microscope and then think that all of this came about as a result of a "big bang" or some "accident?"

Atheists like him never truly address the issue of how we humans have the ability to reason, and the mechanism that enables this. They bypass all this process and assume nonchalantly that reasoning is just there and then we use it to postulate an existence without a Creator, while denying and overlooking the process of reasoning itself.
