@@tshepangmugandi8174 Constitutionally our country is a secular country, not a Christian country- so why do we get Christmas and Easter as public holidays? By that practice, we should get either no religious holidays at all, or we should get religious holidays for all religions that are recognized in South Africa. It's all constitutional. The constitution allows freedom of religion.
@@ye4bz Christmas and Easter are both pagan holidays. Neither one are reflective of true Christian theology. Therefore the argument that Islamic holidays are too be celebrated for the same reasons is insufficient. Also, 79% of South Africans are proclaiming Christians. Democracy is indicative on public opinion and the public is not an "ummah". Lastly, Islam is a poisonous ideology and its 1400 year history with our continent is enough evidence that its values are a cancer. In conclusion, Islam must not have any ties to South Africa. Although we are led to non-believers, I prefer them over jihadists anyday
Maybe South Africa should be a federal state; perhaps have a province governed by Sharia law, have provinces that have secular socialism and others being Christian constitutional states/provinces
