Empathy:
A despicable hate crime is committed in St. Louis, Missouri, leaving a community devastated.
Cemeteries should be places of peace and reverence. When a Jewish cemetery was vandalized in 2017, one particular group raised thousands of dollars to help them rebuild, putting aside differing viewpoints and overcoming stereotypes of the groups’ historical relations.
Standing together against hate and destruction helps us grow as a community and as a civilization. We share many common values despite our differences, and we can change the world when we show empathy for each other and step up to help our neighbors in need.
