By keeping an open mind and exploring these teachings, you may find that they resonate with you in a meaningful way. great video, i get the point you are trying to make but to sme extent i think we should not be very close to deen but with a limit, because even the prophet told us not to be overdoing deen, like wht sme people are doing which will be a disadvantage on the long run, so to be more clear i think on your daily basis select specific times for memorizing quran, reciting athkar, praying nawafil if u want to, but also you do sme other things such as, talking to friends, playing sport, learning, etc. because during your day entertainment is important for your sanity that is why we were told do everything with a limit don't overdo anything even the good things

If you handle as good as you possibly can (also with critic/optimism in mind, not naive) in Gods eyes in the Now… isn’t the future also bright? Of course there will be obstacles (examinations of things to understand) or problems that weren’t solved in your inner world that reflect back… Eventually you will be peaceful as you also wish over others. Those others will also find their ways, because you motivate them to solve their inner issues too. Which brings extra points with God. For them. For you it’s just normal. Otherwise you will handle with greed. To get more in future. But if everybody works for a better future, we will grow together faster and stronger. And sharing honesty leads to more benefit… Just a thought train… nice video, original and authentic. ❤

You are so right Farah. I think the things of this world and even the people are so comfortable that they live life thinking this is where it all ends. No one looks beyond that and I have been doing some self reflection because I want to start getting myself together for the afterlife, life after death. You know sometimes I fail to remember that the things of this world, the things we worship won't matter in the afterlife. There WILL BE NO comparison, sadness, hate, sin. I don't know about anyone but I will be working to have eternal life ain't gonna get my hopes up about the things of this world.

I heard a very good explanation of the word Hayawan حيوان . It has a grammatic form ending in "'an" same as "Rahm'an" and "Ghalay'an" , Like in Allah is al- Rahman as in always merciful (unlimited) . And when the water does "Galayan" it is in the act of Ghali (cooking) or as in "hayajan" هيجان البحر . This grammatic form indicates another level of the word that 'an is added to. Hayawan حيوان is therefor a more dynamic, unlimited and another level of hayat. ** This maybe only made sense for arabic speakers 😅

She's not saying don't have fun, (of course halal) but as long as it doesn't make you indulge in it so much to the point, that you forgot about the Hereafter and that you forget your whole purpose being here and that your also supposed to work for that too. Now, there's nothing wrong with having fun sometimes, but that shouldn't be the main goal of our lives. Make sure you don't get so obsessed with the dunya to the point you forgot about your real home, which is the Hereafter. I'm not saying you can't have any fun (halal fun), you can but as long as you don't let it distract you too much or let it make u forget that this dunya is temporary, because it is temporary, it will all perish one day. We need to work on keep it by like working on our jobs, working to be healthy, focusing on studying, family life, but also, working on our spirituality and our Hereafter as well. Use this life to also build your hereafter. So everything together.

15 Astonishing facts About Islam That you Really don't know ! 1) “Islam” means “surrender” or “submission” . “Salam” (which means “peace”) is the root word of “Islam”. In a religious context the word “Islam” means “the surrendering of one’s will (without compulsion) to the true will of God in an effort to achieve peace”. 2) “Muslim” means “anyone or anything that surrenders itself to the true will of God”. By this definition, everything in nature (trees, animals, planets, etc.) are “muslims” because they are in a state of surrender to God’s will. In other words, they are fulfilling the purpose for which God created them. 3) Islam is not a new religion or cult. It is a universal way of life and civilization. Again, Islam is not a new religion, rather it is the same message preached by all earlier prophets such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and Jesus (peace be upon them all). But God’s final message to mankind was revealed to the last prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him), as a revival of lost teachings of previous prophets and as a reconfirmation of the eternal message. Studies show that between 1.5 and 1.8 billion people in the world identify their religion as Islam. Along with Judaism and Christianity it traces its roots through Prophet Abraham and back to the first humans Adam and Eve. 4) There are five pillars of practice in Islam. These practices must be undertaken with the best of effort in order to be considered a true Muslim: A) Declaration of faith: A statement proclaiming the belief in One God and that Muhammad is a prophet of God. To become Muslim a person simply recites this statement publicly, and in Arabic. B) Formal prayer five times a day. C) Poor-due tax: 2.5% of one’s excess wealth given to the needy once a year. D) Fasting during the daylight hours in the month of Ramadan. E) Pilgrimage to Mecca at least once, if physically and financially able. 5) There are six articles of faith in Islam. These are the basic beliefs that one must have in order to be considered a true Muslim. They are belief in: A) the One God. B) all of the true prophets of God. C) the original scriptures revealed to Moses, David, Jesus and Muhammad. D) the angels. E) the Day of Judgment and the Hereafter. F) destiny. 6) Muslims believe in the one Creator of the Universe, referring to Him as “Allah” which is the Arabic word for “God”. Muslims worldwide, even English-speaking Muslims, frequently use the Arabic word “Allah” because Arabic is the language of the Qur’an. But Allah is no different than the God of Abraham, Moses and Jesus. The Creator is the Creator regardless of what people call Him. In the English language He is most commonly referred to as “God”. Yet Jesus spoke a different language, referring to God as “Eloi” in Mark 15:34 of the New Testament. Are “God” and “Eloi” different gods? Many Hispanics call God “Dios” and many French say “Dieu”. It would logically follow then that people who refer to God as “Allah” in the Arabic language are referring to the very same God. In fact, many Arab Jews and Arab Christians call God “Allah”. And the word “Allah” is written in Arabic script on the walls of many Arab churches and on the pages of Arabic Bibles. So while the understanding of God may differ between faith groups, the various names used to describe Him does not change the fact that the one Creator of the Universe is the God of all people. This is Allah Almighty, The Creator, the one and only true God. He is my God, our God: "Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi (Throne) extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great." (Quran 2:255) {Say, “He is Allah, the One. Allah, to Whom the creatures turn for their needs. He begets not, nor was He begotten, and there is none like Him.” } (Quran, 112:1-4) Allah Almighty says in the Quran: "Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah . Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful." [Quran 39:53] 7) The Islamic concept of God is that He is loving, merciful and compassionate. Islam also teaches that He is all-knowing and the perfect judge of affairs, and will punish (or forgive) accordingly. However, Allah once said to Muhammad, “My mercy prevails over my wrath”. So Islam teaches a balance between fear and hope, protecting one from both complacency and despair. 8) Muslims believe that God has revealed 99 of His names, or attributes, in the Qur’an. It is through these names that one can come to know

Aw, sis. You’re definitely on a journey that I can relate to but I think the idea of balancing this dunnyah and the hereafter relates to the idea of an “hour” for everything: an hour for acts of worship that we all consider (prayer, reading the Quran, charity, …), an hour for work and making an honest income, an hour for taking care of your family and friends and people who have a right over you, an hour of leisure and fulfilling that right over yourself. Everything we do is an act of worship but we shouldn’t indulge in one and neglect the other. I guess just being alive is a practice of not being one dimensional in thinking and, like you said, not just following our whims and desires.

learning from this episode: there is not supposed to be a perfect balance between the dunya and the aakhirah. there has to be a heavier leaning of our efforts to secure our place in Jannah because that is our real destination, this life is merely a rest stop in that journey. I used to disagree with this take before until now and i think this humor-infused, easygoing manner of giving naseeha and dawah is working so well for me. So thank you so much Farah, ily!

I do agree that somethings can be a distraction even making cute coffee dates, however sometimes it's also a mechanism to cope with the sadness of what this world brings. I don't think there's anything wrong with finding things you enjoy to do in this world while we are here, this is also a place where we were put to live.. not our internal homes but these small things also help us discover who we are and what we enjoy as people. I think when I had high functioning depression, I found it hard to go back to do things I once enjoyed but with time it got better. If I didn't have those small enjoyments, idk how I would cope with the heaviness I felt in my chest, accepting and understanding that these moments were meant to happen puts me more at peace to enjoy small moments in life, so I am grateful that Allah gave me those small doses of enjoyment's in this life.

I kind of disagree with you here. if this dunya is your starting point then this is our home for the time being. this is where we show to Allah who we are and what we have achieved and done in life. for good and bad this is our home for the time being.

This dunya is where you become close to Allah (swt) and we are capable of grand levels of faith… once you’re in heaven (iA) this won’t be a worry because we will already be close to Allah (swt). But something about this dunya is how the greatest pain confers the greatest joy and relief from Allah (swt). Without it we wouldnt know how capable we are how courageous how strong. SubhanAllah

I’m not Muslim, but this video just resonates with my spirit she speaks pure truth with no remorse , we heavily indulge in acts that we consider to be these certain form of happiness but deep down inside aren’t at peace with ourself, we’re so distracted, easily consumed by this material world, know thyself and find peace within your own energy, and the most high 🧘🏾‍♂️🌱

24:34 I love it when she explains that the word "afterlife" makes it sounds as if it's unreal. As if, this dunya is the real life, and the akhirah is the "afterlife". I guess English terms for "world" and "hereafter" will never able to represent the Arabic terms for "dunya" and "akhirah". Amazing insight, Farah!

Thank you so much for making this episode T-T I’m going through a rough patch in my life. After just finishing high school and planning to enter university , I’m struck with applying for scholarships and choosing a university that fits me. It’s been awhile since I contemplated on giving up drawing, I kid you not it’s been so so confusing and heartbreaking for me bc there are some different perspectives from some scholars based on the Hadith that stated, that among the people of hellfire are those who draw, something like that. I’ve been feeling like I’ve been punched in the face bc I can’t continue my passion and love for drawing (I use to draw cartoons and beings) and I know it’s not wrong to draw sceneries and other lifeless things (but it’s quite hard to get back to drawing rn) I’ve been rejected by a scholarship programme on a animation course and it really bummed me out. Nevertheless, I’ve secured a place in an Islamic university in my country. I think, it’s a way Allah SWT telling me to be close to him. I can’t lie that I’m not hurt, but this episode helped me realise that my desires are not to be exaggerated. Indeed Allah is with the broken hearted, please make dua’ for me. Thank you so much Farah ❤️

i started full on crying and got so emotional when you said that on the day of judgement we will be called by Allah by our best deed and not our names in this life. Its so beautiful. And then i started thinking what good deed would i even be called by. I dont think i do enough for the sake of Allah. I sin so much and only think about this dunya and i think thats why i feel hollow inside lately

Salem Aleykoum wa RahmatuLlah wa Baarakatuh! It is already good to think that you are not doing enough for the love of Allah and just this reflection there, Allah sees it. Nothing is too late to repent, we all sin but the main thing is to try to stop, Allah sees our everyday efforts, how hard it is for us to detach ourselves from our bad things but we will succeed! ( Amîn ). Continue to learn more about our magnificent religion, Qu’ran, Sûnnah... Prayer, peace, family! Take care of yourself and those around you.

yesterday i was taking a walk while listening to this episode on spotify. i didn't remember when it hit me but i love a group in kpop, and i love meme, i love keeping kpop memes from twitter. i have hundreds of them in my phone. and yesterday, while walking, i was moving the non kpop meme to a new folder and completely erasing the rest. sounds easy but gurl i even screenrecord my screen cause it is a really big thing for me, and i ended up doing it while walking cause i am afraid this desire to erase the folder might goes away when the podcast is finished. i don't know how i would become after this but i pray that anywhere it is, it will be a path where i can take Allah's company wherever i go. thank you farah for sending the messages, please continue to do so in the future❤

For people who worry about hell ....here read this. I dont worry about hell (im not muslim) but this is from the quran.. Allah will say, 'Go and take out of Hell anyone in whose heart you find faith equal to the weight of one Dinar. Then when they have finished Allah will command them to ' Go and take out of Hell anyone in whose heart you find faith equal to the weight of one half Dinar' Go and take out of Hell anyone in whose heart you find faith equal to the weight of an atom. 'Surely! Allah wrongs not even of the weight of an atom (or a smallest ant) but if there is any good (done) He doubles it.' (4.40) The Prophet added, "Then the prophets and Angels and the believers will intercede, and (last of all) the Almighty (Allah) will say, 'Now remains My Intercession. He will then hold a handful of the Fire from which He will take out some people whose bodies have been burnt, and they will be thrown into a river at the entrance of Paradise, called the water of life. They will grow on its banks, as a seed carried by the torrent grows. You have noticed how it grows beside a rock or beside a tree, and how the side facing the sun is usually green while the side facing the shade is white. Those people will come out (of the River of Life) like pearls, and they will have (golden) necklaces, and then they will enter Paradise whereupon the people of Paradise will say, 'These are the people emancipated by the Beneficent. He has admitted them into Paradise without them having done any good deeds and without sending forth any good (for themselves).' Then it will be said to them, 'For you is what you have seen and its equivalent as well.'" You see the reason I dont worry about hell is not because I am an atheist (im not) not even because of the good deeds I have done. But when i see the kindness in Islam I have faith. I know. If a person has goodness to the weight of an atom in their hearts Allah doubles it. Amen.
