Maybe you are oblivious of the ethnic makeup of the region. More than 90% of ashantis, akyems, kwahus, akuapems and bonos in the region vote for NPP just like Ewes, Ga- Adangbes, and northerners do for the NDC regardless of their educational or economic background. Typical floating voters are not even up to 10% but, they decide the elections in the region because no ethnic group have the majority in the region. The last census showed that akans were the largest, followed by the ga- adangbe, ewes, and northerners in that order. The most purest swing region in the country is central region. The Fantes are the least tribal when it comes to politics.
@donkorphilip477 I will agree with you on some point, but you can't change the fact. Also, the Central Region doesn't comprise just Fantes. We have most of the Akans there, and they are those making that Region a swing one.
