I live here in Charleston Hannibal's restaurant has been around for many years food is amazing. Bertha's kitchen food is amazing their are a family own business that has been around for many years. Bertha's granddaughter also has a food truck where she serves breakfast so good.
Thanks for watching and sharing, their food is so delicious while also being easy on the budget. We'll check out the granddaughters food truck as well.
@@MIWTM I recently started working very close to this area and people literally suggested Hannibals and Berthas to me. I can't wait to try them. I was looking for a decent video that reviewed these places. Your video was the best and it's not even close you took your time and detailed the menu items and you have a great quality camera. Thanks again.
This was a great Soul Food Tour!!! we've been to Ravenel's Seafood plenty of times for garlic crabs. We've heard of Hannibals and Bertha's Kitchen but haven't been yet, keep hearing how good it is, we got to check those two out. Never heard of Bintu. We definitely got to check out Hannibals, the plates you ordered were eye catching, especially the mac and cheese! Based on your reviews of Hannibals, we going to check them out soon. We tried to go to Bertha's once a few years ago but they were closed at the time. Taylor never had grape koolaid!??! We love grape kool aid, so good. You just brought back a forgotten memory with collecting Koolaid points, forgot all about that. $21 for that food from Bertha's wow that's a really good price! Great video fam, you convinced us to check out Hannibals and Bertha's real soon!
Thanks so much guys! can you believe we've been looking for a place to get Garlic crabs since moving here? we should have just asked y'all :-) we've failed her not having Grape Koolaid lol lol -- we can't wait to hear or see your feedback on Bertha's and Hannibals.

I loved this video! Girl, we favor each other in looks! I'm from Charleston 😅 do you live here? Our taste buds are the same. I feel the african restaurant could be more favorable and I love Hannibals Kitchen! Great video
There is black people and they eat there too. I’m the actual owner and we have a lot of support from local. He was highlighting downtown overall it used to be so many black businesses and stronger community then now and you know it. Gentrification or else we don't see them patronizing much new downtown restaurant except a few…. I don't think he was that literal!
👂 🛑 You’re not a food critic you just like going out to eat ✅ staying home and cook your own soul food because soul food is not only about love is going to have pork in it ✅
Unfamiliar with Collard Greens, Pork Neck bones and attempting to eat Fried Chicken with a plastic fork, seems a little suspect in your knowledge of southern cuisine.😂
They lost it for me once they started talking about the pork how dare you different type of black folks looking for authentic soul food in Charleston with no pork straight b*******
