Hi!! About to start nail tech school and I’m exciting to be learning more about everything- quick question! Why is the gel x bit for right handed people only? I’m a lefty

So glad you asked! The teeth (AKA flutes) on the carbide bit are designed and made to go only in 1 direction (forward for righty's). We do have other lefty carbide bit options and you would run those only in reverse. If you try to use carbide bits in the opposite direction than what they were intended for, it's like using the back side of a knife and not the actual blade! Does that help?

Thank you for this video! If I’m using the bits on myself at home (every other week), approximately how long will it be before I need to replace my bits? Will I need to replace the diamond ones first or do they all get blunted about the same rate?

A good rule of thumb is that the bits last 150-300 services! If you're just using them on yourself they should last a few years. Bits that are smaller will become dull sooner compared to larger surface area bits.

Can you do a video on exfoliation vs nippers? I use nippers but its hard not to get that blunt edge!

Be sure you're using sharp tools! Also I recommend smoothing over the skin with a diamond Ball bit after nipping to reduce the possibility of hangnails.

Awesome!!! Great set of bits. Why do you suggest the Gel X bit for gel polish removal as opposed to the safety smooth top, which is less aggressive?

Great question! The Gel X was designed to specifically excel for gel polish removal, whereas the Safety Smooth Top can do a broad scope of products. One is not necessarily more or less aggressive- their teeth are just designed differently!

Hi Erica! I love these videos explaining the bits! Very useful for home DIYers that need a demonstration. How would we contact customer service about a product that’s out of stock? I can’t find an email or phone number on your site. I’m interested in the dust collector attachment for T-300. It says out of stock, I’m wondering if it will be restocked. I’m also wondering if it will fit my e-file. I have a Saeshin Strong e-file with an S120 hand piece. Your T-300 looks very similar 😉. How can I find out if it will fit my device?

As a new at-home DIY-er, I cannot seem to find a straight answer on left vs. right hand bits, since I (obviously) have to use both hands. Does it depend on hand position? Like nails pointing out/flat hand vs. nails pointing toward your body/curled in (loose fist)?

This is actually a great question! We will be making a video on this in the near future. You can get by with just using a righty or lefty bit. But you will have to angle the hand you're working on differently.

Diamond grit bits are great for the natural nail. Light pressure when you use it. 😀

I have all these bits and your T-Rex and 2S cuticle football bit. I've cut my removal time down by half using your bits. 💯🥰👍🏼

For natural nails you would use the diamond bits (Long & Lean, Micro Taper, and Polisher bits!)

Great question. The Safety Smooth Top Barrel carbide has a lefty option (outside of the kit) however the Gel X carbide does not. All the diamond bits can be used either way!

A few bits we like to use on natural nails are the small tapered barrel, refine ball, and the polisher. All of those are also included in our Natural Nail Dry Mani Kit 😊

First you want to clean the tools with either an ultrasonic cleaner or manually with warm soapy water and a brush. You then want to disinfect - We highly recommend using Lucascide RTU 🙌
