Over the last year I have started to target Mutton Snapper more. Mutton Snapper are a smart Snapper that aren't easily fooled, and put up a great fight. The key is to present your bait as naturally as possible. For this reason I use very long flourocarbon leaders to keep my bait far away from the bait, and let the bait sway naturally in the current. One of the biggest challenges is handlining the leader because of the weight. I came across the FisherKing weight clips and have found my answer to this problem. They clip on and off very easily without damaging the line. They hold plenty of weight and once they're off you can reel down to the fish.
