Hi Vijeta, I saw a couple of your vlogs and just wanted to let you know that they are very informative and not misleading. I am from Gurgaon and would be migrating to Adelaide all by myself soon through point system. Hope you wouldn't mind me asking lots of questions about life there in the coming months. I am following you on Instagram as well. Thank you 😊🙏

As an Adelaide born person it was great to see your comments on your likes and dislikes. I didn’t watch it all but can in just add a few constructive comments. With Adelaides population of 1.7 million compared with Sydney ( 5 million ) and Melbourne (4.8 million ) the opportunity’s are going to be smaller but if your looking for less of a hectic life you’d look at Adelaide. Please remember that coming to a new country your not going to get the same as what you had in you own country. Cigarettes are $55 a packet of 40 because we don’t want you smoking and a lot of places smoking is banned so don’t expect to eat dinner and have a cigarette as you will have to go outside . Electricity is expensive but that’s because we have the largest solar,wind and battery backup in Australia so if you rent a house and it doesn’t have solar on the roof expect to pay more. We don’t have coal fired power stations. If your an accountant,doctor ,lawyer or what ever in your own country you will have to study here to do the same profession. That’s just logical. Driver’s licenses take time but thats for yours and my safety but our public transport is pretty good. Not everything is going to be free but we have a great health system and schooling . Child care is expensive though. Renting a home is affordable depending on where you want to live and the inspections are for the owners satisfaction as they are allowing you to live there. there are jobs here but don’t expect to jump into the profession you are trained for as stated previously. $7 for delivery of groceries is cheap and also creates another job. To sum it all up Adelaide is a nice place to live but it’s also not as big as the others so if your like yanna and don’t like Adelaide then please don’t come here. What I can also say is when coming to a new place please try and fit in. We are friendly people . Some say Australians are racist but I see it as when foreign people come here they tend to stay in their own groups and don’t want to communicate with us. In some cases it’s like we aren’t worthy of your friendship.This can be annoying and that’s when you get the tension. Many overseas people have made a good life for them selfs with opening business’s but remember on many of these occasions it’s the Australians that are helping you out. I hope you love Adelaide as much as I do. Enjoy.

Hi Vijeta, your videos are really informative, thanks for sharing your experience. I too am planning to migrate to Adelaide. So far I am only at my initial stages of my PR process, I have been following the Australian Visa policies closely for sometime now and I came to know about the new 491 visa soon to be released from 16th Nov 2019. I think it is the right visa for me. I am into data science mostly dealing with programming languages like SAS, SQL, and Python, what I would like to know is that how is the Data Science job market in Adelaide. I reckon the other metropolitan cities like Sydney, Melbourne , Perth etc has the most data science jobs but the 491 visa is only applicable to the regional areas of Australia excluding Sydney, Melbourne, Perth, Gold Coast and Brisbane. So Adelaide seems to be the ideal city for a prospect data scientist like myself as the entire South Australia comes under regional section of the Australian subcontinent. I would be very grateful to you, if you could kindly share the job prospects in the data science field in Adelaide. It would be of immense help if I get to know where and how to look for jobs once I receive my PR. Thank you very much and have a good day.

Krishna Kamal Gogoi thanks for watching and appreciating ! Unfortunately that’s a tough question for me to answer , jobs of all kinds are usually more available in Sydney/Mel but we obviously have to live to the moral commitment to SA. I would say you could look at seek.com.au or indeed.com.au , they are some good job portals

I would like to ask you one more thing, like how much time do you get to arrive in Australia after you get your PR. Like lets say I get my pr on 1st Jan 2020 so how long do I have before the move to Australia from that date?
@vijetarai7671
@vijetarai7671 5 лет назад
Krishna Kamal Gogoi in my times the initial travel date used to be given of a time within 12 months of medical/PCC but recently I have seen that the initial entry date is of 12 months from the date the visa is granted. Not sure if they have changed their policies !

Hi vijeta i watched all the videos. I have a question. Im planning to migrate next year with my wife she applying for student visa Msc in adelaide. So i will be offerd a full time work permit. And she will allowed to work 20 hrs per week. Is this a good decision ? The reason i choose adelaide is I have heard that PR process is very easy with regional states like adelaide than states like melbourne or sydney What us your idea can we get the PR after 4 years of total student visa period ?
@vijetarai7671
@vijetarai7671 5 лет назад
Chami9999 the most important question is - do u have kids currently? I am guessing No. and if that’s true, don’t think twice . You guys are taking a good decision . And if you have kids, my answer will still be the same with just some additional points to keep in mind 😀 give yourself atleast 6-8 months after landing and you will know what I mean

After listening to hell of demotivating videos for migrants, I finally came across very informative videos. Can you please tell something about house rent outside adelaide area which is not too far from this city ( 40 min drive max). Can I have a house of 3 BHK for 250/week? if yes, can you please name the areas. Also can you please tell me if with 491 visa, child education is also free? I have 2 kids ( one is 3 years and 2nd is 5 months). I am just waiting for my skill assessments outcome. Once received, I shall straight away apply for South Australia nomination.
@vijetarai7671

Thanks for your kind words. Unfortunately I don't have any idea about farther places rent but you could go to realestate.com.au put the suburbs and get an idea. Maybe 250 for 2BHK is still possible but not 3. Child education is not free but if you enrol in govt schools it's 250 a year so that's quite good. Goodluck for the process

Adelaide is stretched in a north-south direction so if you are looking for cheaper rent you should look in the outer north (anything north of Gepps Cross) or outer south (anything south of Sheidow Park). The south is perhaps a nicer side of the city with many nice beaches but not many job opportunities. The north is slightly more populated and has many more job opportunities. You may have some luck searching in the Blair Athol/Enfield area which is fairly close to the city but still has some lower income families.

Madam, I have 190 PR-SA and planning to come for initial entry of Visa activation on Jan 2020. After initial entry I am thinking to go back to my present country of residence-Gulf, to continue my job until next 4.5 years and come back and continue stay permanently for next few years and so on(Due to some financial commitment, as I have no backup as of now). Is there any legal or Visa continuity issues apart from the RRV- Resident Return Visa, as I am thinking to extend my stay in Australia to 2 plus years on return from Gulf after the initial 4.5 years. Is there any issue about our future Citizenship applications and all due to this? Also should I need to pay Tax in Australia for the income from Offshore- As I am thinking it is ok for the sake of my PR Visa.? Thanks, Roy Raju
@vijetarai7671
@vijetarai7671 5 лет назад
Hi Roy, I would try and address your queries to the best of my knowledge but I would suggest you speak to the right authorities including your migration agent to be absolutely certain. In my opinion,you should try and settle down in AU by atleast the end of 3rd year of your PR so that you do not have issues in getting the RRV. Also as much I know, an RRV is granted for next 5 yrs and not for periods less than that . Citizenship is getting tougher and with the kind of stay you have planned, could be a task. You will need to pay taxes on the income earned in Australia in a particular financial year, I don’t think they would care about the taxes on what you earning offshore . But like I said, don’t consider these as the Bible and so your independent research . Thanks
