Welp since my dad literally sings every damn day I wouldn't really be surprised but if Dad and his brothers actually sang together (like every family gathering always turns out every year) in the street's yeah even if it means me being teased
@@anthonyra7767 Imagine being the parents of Anthony Stages, one racist fuck who doesnt appreciate life. Id rather kms. You know how successful these guys are now? They are out there singing and will make more than you ever will. Remember that for the rest of your life
This is music. No studio. No talent show lights. No auto tune. Just these incredibly talented people at one with the music, you can feel it not just hear it! Amazing
I love that this group doesn't always have the same person singing, they switch around to show off each of their strengths equally, such soul and talent!
Well think logically for a moment. Let’s rewind 100 years. What songs do we continue to sing from that era? Probably the top 5% is all that survived. Many singers have come and gone, had their 15 minutes, and were forgotten forever. Point here being that all of the examples we’re familiar with of old music is literally the best that era had to offer. Nowadays we haven’t had a century to weed through all the mess and find our top percents that live on to the next generation. Instead of defining the era as we have in the past by listening solely to their legacy, we now have all of today’s music which necessarily includes the rest of that 95% that isn’t so great. Naturally, our schema of old music contains more “good” songs than our schema for nowadays music.
@@theKiddAlways it’s a common refrain that gets used to indicates music used to be better. Reality is we’re only hearing the best of the best from those bygone eras
I grew up in Philly back in the days when it was something. I remember being little and laying in my bed on Summer nights, window open and fan to bring in the fresh air, and listening to groups of men sing just like this. I loved it. Music was better back then.
This is the kind of street performance i like to see. You can clearly tell it’s raw and unedited because you can hear other people in the background. Pure talent, no extra mic effects. Awesome job guys, thank you for sharing! ❤️
@@facepunch5104 i worked with someone who's got a voice like this and it's so awesome being right next to it! we worked opposite shifts but when he got that rogue mid and sang all day it was the BEST
Absolutely captivating! Just a bunch of really cool and talented dudes allowing their spirits to shine through their music.❤🎵💜😎👍🌻💛 Couldn't have picked a better song as well! 1,000 Kudo's Gentleman.🎉
I was so lucky to see these guys about ten years ago near Spring and Broadway when I worked in SOHO. Never forgot it man. The Under The Boardwalk; froze me in my tracks. Group Harmony is good for the soul. A powerful art form very suppressed now .
They had a loooot of good songs lol.problem is so many songs now is just made for $$$ but back then it was more than that. You needed a good song to even get a chance
They have such amazing, powerful strong voices! We need singers who don’t need auto-tune to sound good. Natural raw talent is what it’s all about. Perfection!
When the night has come And the land is dark And the moon is the only light we'll see No, I won't be afraid Oh, I won't be afraid Just as long as you stand Stand by me So darlin', darlin', stand by me Oh, stand by me Oh, stand Stand by me, stand by me If the sky that we look upon Should tumble and fall Or the mountain should crumble to the sea I won't cry, I won't cry No, I won't shed a tear Just as long as you stand Stand by me And darlin', darlin', stand by me Oh, stand by me Oh, stand now Stand by me, stand by me And darlin', darlin', stand by me Oh, stand by me Oh, stand now Stand by me, stand by me Whenever you're in trouble won't you stand by me Oh, stand by me Won't you stand by
Crazy how people with real talent like them are made to sing on the streets when the undeserving with no talent sing on big stages. Credit to these OG’s ( thanks for the likes my G’s)
Very sorry for your loss, it’ must be very difficult. . I love this song. It came out when I was about 9 years old. My Dad used to sing it to me. And he did just that. Stood by me till the day he died.
Bless you both and plz remember their bodies may not be here but the spirit never dies! I hope u both get ur visitations from your loved ones....if u haven't already....u will..❤❤❤❤ baruch Hashem Shalom
Éstos SI SON LOS VERDADEROS CANTANTES, ésa es música, éso es talento sin ayuda de tecnología, esas son voces que cautivan la esencia de la música.. Que bueno, 👍👏😆 excelente
I know what you mean but with the way the music industry is it might not be such a good thing ! You can always look em up on their website and buy one of their CD's I did ! tell your friends about them as well spread the word :-)
Sometimes it can be hard to hear, when people stop their singing in a slowly ending. You can also hear that when they heard he wasn't finished, they stopped clapping again :)
@@mikkel6183 I know right? But anyways that moment of silence right after an artist /a group of artists has stopped is so precious To me, it's just like not watching the film credits at the end of a good movie
Classic tunes and nice performance! Man…these cats are grooving! All I see is Paul from the Temptations movie dancing at the audition for Berry Gordy! LoL
Am I the only one loving the frontman singer in his slides? Like I’m smiling watching this super talented group of men singing together and he’s got his uncle-at-the-cookout slippers on.
@@sams3493 maybe they are pampered much. wait till the society wipes that Johnson n Johnson's baby powder up their pampered ass and shove the reality up that hole.
Music is music. Black or white or whatever... good soul, love enthusiasm, passion, just pure soul... it’s universal. There’s nothing like playing music with your folks. Bringing it to life. The word is PASSION. Anyone who can sing or play with passion is an artist. God bless you all.
@@grethi8110 stop the bigotry please. racist remark. did blacks invented mongolian throat singing? metal music? did they wrote beethovens 7th symphony? you gotta stop lifting up one race above the other. period.
"A cappella. In Italian, the phrase a cappella means, literally, in the manner of chapel. Whoever coined the phrase presumably attended the type of church service in which people sing without musical accompaniment. In any case, without musical accompaniment is the primary definition of this loan phrase in English" Dunno bout your church but we have Piano. At least the Double Bass is acoustic, and no mics used either. Still, it is wonderful either way.
@@KennethNicholson1972 Etymology != definition. "Definition of a cappella : without instrumental accompaniment The choir sang the chants a cappella." (Merriam-Webster) Also, I don't go to church.
He had me hooked on the first note, his voice is gorgeous omg. The backup singers and the (tbh idk what instrument that is) player did an amazing job!! I hope I witness something like this one day
class no studio no filters. just pure beautiful talent raw powerful ty for gracing us with ur wonderful talent without lines about murder drugs or politics lol godbless xx
This is my “go to” video for a smile. Brings back teenage memories. Never tire of watching each and every performer inc. the middle man in white from the get go.
I don't understand why people just appreciate ones talent and not start comparing the performance to other performers and to the original. Maybe they don't understand the meaning of a cover. Great talent here.
@@CartoonyPirate except that (I'm not certain) but it seems racist. Light in the darkness. There's one American in their band of African Americans. May just be me, but it sounds kinda racist, despite how cool it'd sound.
They are the uncles at the cookout and the family reunion. They say that music dies as the generation gets older. These fellas just showed us different. There voices are so good and that song you will never get tire of hearing it
