Great video! The triple thick really does have a nice shine to it. I like the fact that's it flexible too...that's good to go on top of the flexible clay 😊 Thanks for the video ❤❤❤❤

I’ve used Triple Thick for years. At one point, it was discouraged, saying it turned cloudy. I have NEVER had that problem. I have really old pieces that still shine clear. I used to use it for clear over eyes on my sculptures, long before UV resin.

I only started using a few months ago so I’m very happy to hear you haven’t had any cloudiness or problems with it changing later on. Thank you for letting me know this. I love using it on my wood jewelry it gives such a beautiful finish. I did a big wooden necklace and I absolutely love it just hate how long it takes to cure but I think that’s bc I got spoiled with how fast uv resin works 😂

Thank you so much for this! I have developed a terrible allergy to UV resin, so I really appreciate alternatives!

Helpful and informative. I hate using resin and am not good at it. I'll try triple thick, I have a big jar from decoupaging shells.

Thanks for showing the difference. I use the triple thick because I don't want to use the resin, because of some of the negative things I've heard. I'm also going to try the diamond glaze next.

I too want to try out the diamond glaze next ☺️ thank you for watching

Do NOT use Diamond Glaze. While I LOVE the product and use it for many other things, on polymer clay it becomes sticky/tacky over time and does not maintain it's gloss. :( @@sherbearsclay

@@CindiBisson thank you so much for letting me know that 😊 I would have been so disappointed if that happened

Trust me I learned the hard way :( I was SOOO disappointed. Pulled out an item to ship from an Etsy order and it was so tacky/sticky I couldn't ship and had to refund her. @@sherbearsclay

Ahhhhh, the crack sound felt so satisfying because i have cracked so many of my pieces in the beginning and seeing many many tutorials where the pieces are so bendy which made me soooooo sad 😂 I also don't like to use resin unless required but silk screen ones do need a resin coating because the glossy varnish sometimes is not enough 😵‍💫

It was so funny bc when I did it i really wasn’t trying to crack it lol 😂 inside my head I was like what…. Haha

I used that at first many years ago on my clay but then months later I found that the pieces that I used Triple Thick became really sticky and had to throw a lot of pieces away

It’s so funny how products work for different people, I had another lady say the opposite and thankfully i haven’t had any issues so far, fingers crossed it will stay that way. If I end up having issues I’ll definitely post about it ☺️ I’ll definitely keep a look out for it now that I am aware it could happen

Do you ever get little bubbles when applying it? Can you use a lighter like you can with resin to pop them?
@sherbearsclay
@sherbearsclay 2 месяца назад
I have not gotten bubbles but if I did I would just use my poker tool and pop them

I'm looking for an alternative to resin to use in filling up miniature jars with clay food in them. I'm wanting it to look like clear liquid. Do you think this would work? Thank you.

You didn't use a respirator when using the resin?

I do not for uv resin my craft room is ventilated and windows are usually cracked but know each person needs to decide on their own what they want to do when it comes to something a long those lines. Thank you for watching

This is a really good demo. I had been so disappointed with TripleThick before. It cured all wavy on top despite taking care not to overwork. Bought a new jar, thinking the first was just too old but got same results. Also found the odor very unpleasant. This video encourages me to try it again.
@sherbearsclay
@sherbearsclay 6 месяцев назад
Thank you, I’m so glad you enjoyed the video. I so far have not had any issues with it becoming wavy thank goodness, I wonder if it’s bc I set my pieces on my resin table top that levels things,??? Also, I personally don’t mind the odor, but maybe that’s because I run a filter in my rooms so no smells stay long. lol 😂
