Hello Sweet Kendra! Yes, my great grandmother and grandmother had several trunks each. They stored "special" linens and handmade quilts in them. I have a couple quilts and sets embroidered pillow cases. Such great memories of looking thru them as a child. Unable to pick one fave, I love them all. Yes my grandparents had a big old trunk in a big walk in closet back in 1960s. I loved setting in their closet with the smell of cedar looking at the amazing things ❤ Like them all and all your creativity ❣️ Really like the paint inlay! Never seen this technique ❤❤

Oh yes. I also have several. I love trunks. My next one will be a seat as well. Open the lid and wrap a thick dense foam and put it on a strong board put it in the bottom and leave the top open and paint it pretty. It turns out so beautiful. Not hard to make they are so great for rentals and such for extra seating and you can close it when not in use and hide stuff under it for safe keeping. I love your project trunk just adorable❤❤❤

My grandparents had a few and they were called Steamer Trucks,they fit on steam trains either under the berths or I overheard compartments thhs the name. ❤

*Hi Kendra❣️ I liked everything you did in this video. May I make a suggestion for your cute little faux trunk? Draw a thin line around it to mimic where the lid and the base of the trunk meet. If you use a light color, it won't be a harsh line of demarcation.😊 Stay blessed❣️😍🕊🙏☝️*

Yu can use a hair comb to hold nails or tacks upright before nailing them in, sure keeps your fingers out of the way.

Use an s hook between the eye hooks. I was raised in a religious home. I read fairy tales. I still believe in God at 70. I don't really see the difference between fairytales and any other fiction book. They are just fables handed down from generations before us mainly to help teach children to be careful and how to behave. But that's me.
