You took that “bound for the landfill” chest and turned it into a “little charmer”. I’ve been watching you and Chris for a long time now your channel is just blowing up! But with flips like these you certainly deserve it.
I would buy any of your projects in a heartbeat….so much care goes into everything you and your hubby do. Thankyou for sharing how things are “done right”. My mother was a seamstress and had the same mindset.❤️🇨🇦
My heart sank when you painted it gray, which I loathe, but you redeemed it with the decoupage! ( I would have painted the body red). Love the way you did the edges of the decoupage and the checked innards look wonderful! Chef's kiss of perfection!
lol, you reminded me of a scuba diver there...so cute! Here in Nova Scotia, we're getting ready for another storm, too. Yesterday it was 15 degrees Celsius, 59 Fahrenheit and I was finally able to drag a dresser out on the back deck and sand it down! It was magical lolol
The decoupage papers and all the rest of your incredible efforts with this little dresser totally transformed and uplifted it! I wouldn't have walked by this piece, I would have run away 🤣
You have inspired me more than any other channel! I purchased 2 - 8ft long 5'6" high 12" deep bookcases, last weekend I took the first one all apart removing all the NAILS! I filled in all the holes and have begun sanding all the pieces/parts. Durham water putty was a wonder product to use. The set had a dark stain on it, so once all the sanding is finished, I will apply KILZ to all of the surfaces and repaint in a white finish, for my "forever home" linear open pantry, that I will put back together using pocket hole joinery. Cause we all know when we get "older" if we can't see it, IT ISN'T THERE!
I love the way this turned out. Your process for restoring furniture is so professional. The extra steps up the quality by 100%. The rooster paper is great.
Hi Yvonne, I definitely would’ve walked away from... I can sand, paint, decoupage and l’m a wizard at wallpapering! However, l wouldn’t have known how to square off the top of the dresser or fix all of the damaged parts. You and Chris are such an incredible team! I absolutely love your design! It’s definitely a showstopper! I only wish, l lived closed to you! ♥️👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
AMAZING, This chest is beautiful. Yes, the check looks great in drawers. I Like how you did drawer fronts. No one would believe what it looked like. It had been well loved by many and now you have given it a new lease on life. Thanks for sharing.
Believe it or not I re-did a dresser just like that one! I love the one you did! That paper on the drawers just takes it to another level! Just awesome! 🤩
I would never have thought to put that design on a dresser! That’s why I love your channel! You always think outside of the box! I love Love LOVE how this turned out! It is beautiful! Great job Yvonne!!!
Hi Yvonne! The way you combined the color with the paper, the contact paper and -- best of all -- the knobs was totally brilliant. I am so not a chicken person but I still love the piece!
I always learn something new from watching your flips! I also figured out why I feel kind of connected with you. Eve though I’m a transplanted Texan, I grew up in Ft. Wayne. HAD relatives in MI. So we midwesterners stick together!
Wow! What a transformation! This turned out great. And yes, I probably would have walked away from it, thinking it would need way too much work. Now I will look at things differently.
Yvonne….yes I would have left it because I don’t have the talent to make an eye sore into a GEM 💖 and Gem it is !!!! I was watching the paper go on and thought… “if only I had the walk in pantry of my dreams, with an all glass door….that would sit center stage inside it with shelves on either side “… It would be the GEM of the pantry. Perfect size to store extra stuff that is not so pretty ! I saw on “Ryan Hall Y’all” weather channel, that Michigan was going to get hit with another snow storm! I can’t believe how little we have gotten this year! Every storm has missed us and we usually get hammered from Lake Ontario ! Not this year ( yet ) ….❄️❄️❄️❄️ Another incredible masterpiece Yvonne !!! ❄️💙💙❄️
Yvonne, this doesn't even look anything like the before. You did a fantastic job! I probably would have tackled it but it would not have turned out as great as yours did. Fantastic. I love that paper. I have ordered some myself, just waiting till I run across the right pieces to use them. God bless 🙏. Ps loved the glimpse of the snow.
Hi Yvonne! I love smaller pieces because I live in a small space! I would have grabbed this little dresser also! You did such a beautiful job on it as usual!!! Thanks for all the tips!!!
Oh my gosh! I love how that little chest of drawers turned out!! All your hard work paid off! I have been binge watching your channel and I just love how you turn ordinary or outdated items into beautiful decor! 😊❤️
It turned out great! You should have participated in the ugly duckling challenge I am sure you would have won! I think from all the RU-vidrs that up cycle furniture you are the most thorough!
