I wouldn't say living for other people is a traditional Eastern though,t if by which you mean that it's unique to the East. It's part of the traditional Judeo-Christian thought also. It's just most people don't live by it these days. Sure in China, more people look after families, but that used to be the case in the West and it will die out in China as the country becomes more and more urbanised. China only modernised relatively speaking compared to Western countries
You can do it! Its not hard its just takes a long long time. Bit like watering a tree. Its easy to put water on it once a day, the difficulty comes with the amount of time you have to repeat it for1

the last chick was correct " we live a code" meaning not only we are programmed at birth but also conditioned and homogenized by others inncluding parents lovers and occasions strangers.... i also see this "love yourself" which many people do not understand what it really means.. thinking its spend money .... rather accepting yourself and others which is a lot easier said than done 🙃
