Love to see that the bale physics seem to be identical to the last few games. Completely solid, no real weight, and able to pick them up from any point without damaging them
Exactly, there's (probably) lots of other stuff they could've spent time and resources on than tornados that by the looks of it do quite minimal damage (also are very limited to certain areas of the earth, so most people don't even have them) Of course, each to their own, I do hope we get the option to disable them tho
@@matpol098 I’m hoping so. For me it just seem like it’ll add anything to gameplay. I’d much rather see a proper tyre physics model or ground deformation on dirt tracks that gets worse after repeated use.
First thing I noticed, is all the fields appear to be almost perfect retangles.. Im willing to bet as soon as modmaps come out with actual normal fields and not perfect fields , the ai will be driving into hedges and trees all over again..
If you watch the video "FARMING SIMULATOR 25 PREVIEW - GPS, AI Worker, Consumables, US Map, New Crops" , you can see the more curvy fields. The AI in combination with the new GPS looked to be much better than all previous AI that could only work back and forth from where you set them
Aidentoms2000, looks accurate to me, as (most) tractors don’t have any real suspension (like a car or truck), if any “suspension” at all. The “suspension” is built into the drivers seat or floating cab, generally. Have you ever driven or been in the cab of a tractor on rough ground… they don’t feel like they’ve got any suspension either! Haha
@@_NicBP true but modern tractors like that valtra most definitely have back front and cab suspension, dont get me wrong they still bounce alot in real life but not that rigid imo
They need to do something with equipment movement over rough terrain. It looks like a toy tractor, bouncing around like its made of plastic, instead of 10 ton tractor with inertia. They need to add some damping in tyres. Also, even though sound is improved, machines still sound like they were recorded idling instead of under load. It is not even close to what tractors and harvesters actually sound like on the field. No transmission whine is the most obvious, but the overall sound has to be much louder, especially at bass level. You hear a big harvester from miles away.
@@Gmax100_ there are no water physics, both water and "ground deformation" are just virtual textures. Can have godrays and better graphics with reshade. Tornadoes.... Wow what everyone wanted lmao 😂 the cope is strong
One thing I don't really love is how when they add a crop that takes somewhat specialized equipment, there's usually only like 1 or 2 machines that can handle it, and they're usually prohibitively expensive. Like grapes in FS22. If you're gonna add some cool new stuff to do, give me some options so I'm not left having to rent some quarter million dollar machine every time I want to harvest.
That’s what some people have to do and they can’t do anything about it. Just don’t complain and enjoy the game as it is. Atleast it isn’t something like Fortnite with a toxic community
yeah that's my number 1 issue with every new FS game. Idc much about new graphics and whatnot (although very my appreciated), I just want larger variety of equipment for everything, ESPECIALLY the new crops. Like you said, cotton is my favourite crop type easily and yet the only way i can do so is either after 100 or so hours, taking out a crushing loan, or renting them all out like a cheapskate.
@@Xeronixe It's what they call it and what they would like you to think it is but in reality they just added another layer to the texture maps you can paint on, this time instead of painting with diffuse (color) you paint with normal map information or at best Tessellation\Displacement both of wich are fake, no real geometry, you can't scoop it up etc, just a visual effect that probably gets even reset after a while It's just a tire mark with some depth information
You are my go to FS RU-vidr, been here for years. Love your variety of series, I do wish that you would bring back the one with Dennis and Wynn. I realize that it is the toughest one because of all the custom stuff in it, but I know there are many of us itching to see more of it. Thanks for all of the stunning work you do, I know I am not the only one that appreciated it. Give me a like on the comment if you agree that Daggerwin does a spectacular job on his channel, thanks all!
Very cool 😎 Seeing that twister makes me want get up and grab a rope, to try to wrangle and ride it like Patrick Swayze (RIP) did in that Disney movie "Tall Tale" from 1995 😉 😂
Genuinely excited about this one. From 19 to 22 felt like a more minor iteration. But this time around the changes feel substantial. Really looking forward to what modders will be able to do with all of this.
So basically 2017 with shiny lighting? what I find truly amazing is the ability of Giants to con people into buying FS and spoon feeding tiny improvements. They really need a competitor so that they'd actually drive innovation.
Sorry for the wall of text, just some general ideas and my take on watching the video on each clip/section Looking at this you can clearly see each clip was done at various stages of development as well as on different platforms, first clip was way early and on PC and later clips are done on console or controller. One thing that bugs me tho is the ground deformation when driving, in the first clip there is none and the tractor looks very stiff, bouncing around but later on the deformation is very present even on the dirt roads were it doesn't make sense to me, the dirt road it's on while it's delivering the rice saplings is only there because vehicles drive on it, it's not a road that gets paved or grated hence the grass strip in the center, so the fact it sinks what looks like a few inches feels weird considering that road should already be heavily compacted. Sure it could become like that but it would need a lot of rain and very little activity, Idk if the ground ever slowly undeforms or resets during gameplay but I think it should be exclusive to fields and dirty off road areas, or at the very least not on any sort of road. The grass and crops def look even more lush and fuller now, I thought FS 22 had good foliage but damn lol Also tbh not a huge fan of the new hud and color imo, I get it's more modernized and technically advanced looking but it feels like looking at a mcdonalds before and after, feels less colorful/joyful ya know. The rice planting looks real good, you can tell they used the same tech on modeling each sapling going in as they did on the tree planter with 100 load capacity in the platinum expansion map. (I don't recall the name of it). Also speaking of that DLC I wonder if we will get more giant projects like the roller coaster in FS 22 or at least modders being able to utilize the tech/mechanic to mod their own giant projects, to me what would be cool is to have a rundown/poor town that barely has any buildings/old buildings and as you farmed and sold products/crops the town would then become bigger and more modernized thus increasing profits and unlocking better equipment rather then just buying them as you get the money. Would be great for a survival challenge map/theme. The rice harvesting also looks good but it just reminds me that they could do some work on when the crops disappear lol Perhaps instead of despawning the crops could quickly shrink down then despawn or shrink near the top and depsawn, idk something to help with the sudden pop. GPS in the base game seems nice but I personally avoided using the mod in FS 22 because I felt part of the fun/challenge was doing it manually, got pretty good at it too. also the harvesting for the combine looks real good to, no ugly despawn infront of the cutter. The spinach harvester looks very nice as well as the unloading, I just wish we could get bigger headers on those vehicles, also hope there isn't a articulated steering version as I dislike trying to drive them on PC. I hope they give us a in game detail about what the swather does when harvesting crops, looking it up it says it's used to cut hay (assuming it means grass) or small grain crops and forms them into a windrow for drying. If used on fully grown crops it's supposed to help naturally dry them so I wonder if there is gonna be crop moisture in this. I know IRL for some crops like corn there are services that offer crop drying were they charge per % of moisture and/or bushel that needs drying. So if they have this in the game and they are cutting a fully grown crop I wonder if that will be the case and or if we can use this to cut grass and have it naturally turn to hay or if we still need a tedder, would be cool to have it dry naturally. Watching them seed with ground deformation makes me wonder if it will cause damage to the seeds from the points that got ran over after they were planted, like reduced yield on them specifically or damage to the crops in younger stages as apposed to before were crop destruction wouldn't effect them during the first growth stage, would make having tramlines useful if that's the case. The telehandlers cab being suspended was interesting lol, but also the new baby cows and what not roaming around, they look much more alive then before and nicer, I wonder if there will be a happiness meter for cows. IRL I believe it was proven that a happy cow produces better quality and quantity of milk and if so I wonder if that will reflect how joyful the calves are, aka happy pen they frolic and a sad pen they don't. I also wonder if the number of cows in the pen will finally reflect the number of cows actually in the pen otherwise it would be weird to have a pen full of adult cows and still have babies running around or perhaps there's just different set pieces depending on what's inside, aka 1 calf and the pen looks like what's in the video lol, also there is different growth stages for the cows it seems with some calves being smaller then others. Also listening to them it sounds and looks like they are eating the grass in the pen, I know there was a mod in FS 22 for this so I wonder if it's gonna be base game where they graze. And yes the tornado, I feel it will be severely underwhelming and overly annoying ngl, from what we saw it destroys trees and possibly destroys buildings from that news report? But I seriously doubt it will do anything other then damage crops and trees, don't think it will hurt your vehicles or even your player character as dying has never been a thing in Farming Sim, so I don't have high hopes for the tornado being has grand as they make it out to be also considering they have done very little to actually show it in proper gameplay and outside of cinematic trailers, either it's not ready or it's just only gonna look neat and destory crops and trees and not actually effect anything else.
To your point about ground deformation and seeding, as the grain grows, you can't even tell where you turn around on the headlands after the crop grows in irl. Crops are very resilient in the first month or so after planting unless something extreme happens (say, drought, flooding or a rather strong tornado).
I love the improvements to the game sound in both FS 22 and this trailer. The machines and front loader tools sound even better in the new game, and I loved the cool stereo effects with footsteps and animal sound when we were near the cow pen. Also, is it just me, or do tractors feel slower in the new game? That big John Deere pulling the auger wagon seemed to take forever to get across the field; to me it seemed longer than a similar distance at 27 kph would take in FS 22.
@@JokerOrTickle looks pretty simular to Couseplay mod, nice that they have integrated that into the base game because the current base helper is useless, and the courseplay helper is realy great now
Tornado with a blue sky? I'm sorry to say that I don't see much improvements so far. I now see the variable ground surface (or whatever it's called), and a few other things. I recently started a new game called snowrunner (offroading). The mechanics in it is flawless. This looks very different. The only thing I am looking forward to with it is watching daggerwin going through it. As a game though, I'll be checking more youtube videos before purchasing unfortunately..
Rutting looks pretty good, but a little excessive. Gravel and dirt roads wont deform and rut in real life unless they are wet. Or are more sandy. Same goes for fields, unless pretty freshly plowed or cultivated. I wonder if wider or multiple tires lessen this. Or tracks for that matter.
Is there really any difference, in the grand scheme of things? A money racket is what it is. You'd get the exact same enjoyment from FS22 without getting minced by a tornado.
They need to add more of the old small bale accumulators and such so we can build bale towers. Transporting the whole tower with the other equipment would be so fun.
Love the tire tracks, feels much more realistic, guessing that's the dynamic ground. I wouldn't worry about the tractors not having the right suspension, you can easily edit that and I'm sure that will be tweaked, if not, it's a super easy job to adjust and a mod would fix that in the first day.
I think FS 25 is amazing the valtra tractor driving in the first scene where the sun was orange in the sky and the sun was literally shining through the fog or mist it was so real like in real life the graphics are on point this time The rice planter driving through the rice flooded fields and the water ripples moving outwards from the rice planter the water graphics is like in real life there is so much improvements this time the detail on the tractors is amazing That sound of the Massey Ferguson 9S was amazing so real you could hear that engine raw it really sounded like it was working very hard and pulling that big slurry cultivator and that John Deere combine looks so real the crops are really better looking more detail and the gps is amazing I’m really hoping the AI workers are going to be much better in FS 25 know 👍❤️
Everything looks very nice, the LoD at 2:10 (sunflower pop-in) has me kinda bummed though, was hoping they would have made the transition a little better
@@SinkyYT I mean, it's not a deal breaker for me, I play on a. Somewhat beefy pc and can set Load distance to 400% in the ini file, i was just hoping for a little smoother transition
The sounds are graphics are terrific, and a great improvement, the ground deformation looks good in the field. The sky still looks meh, that tornado shot and I can't tell if the sky is cloudy or clear with the other white clouds around. The actual farming stuff looks to be mostly unchanged, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, though the harvest unload looked more like dirty water than crop. Really looking forward to it still though.
I hoped that they have also worked with tire derfomantion, at the moment they look like the tires are plastic. No squsiness, no bending when driving over the rock or tree and no wear or tear. I like fs25 and i have ordered already, but i hope every series that they realise they also improve littlebit physics like real bonciness of impliment that is attached to tractor, more realistic unloading to trailer and so on. But I'm happy that the trees at last looke more real
All in all it seems cool, better graphics are something iv been waiting for. It is a little strange that they aren’t using a wheel instead of a controller. The sharp turns really make it look a lot less smooth.
The fact that the tires dont deform what so ever really make it look quite off putting. Ground deformation is anazing but without tire deformation it makes the equipment look like it weighs 5lbs and is stiff as a board. And to all those who'll say "its not out yet so who knows" sorry if tire deformation isnt implemented this late in development its not going to be.
Looks really nice. Although the whingers are out in force again. As if having fully deformable ground you can dig is important for a farming game. Go play snow runner, it has fully deformable ground and farming. The game looks great. We have improvements to animals. Weather matters. We have at least 3 new crops I saw there. A cool mower for making straw (and probably grass). There is GPS. Apparently workers can do headlands (I do not use workers anyway). Are there things to improve? Sure. But this looks like a step forward again.
Ive only played 22 so I dont know what the jump from 19 was like but I feel like all the field work for 25 seems the same as 22 in the machines, tractors, processes etc. The standout element are the lines when driving to keep straight and hopefully better AI workers. The only other stand outs seem to be baby animals and tornadoes but I do question if we needed a whoole nother game for these features? I understand thats their model and im ok with it and excited for better graphics but its what Im thinking about
The first tractor looks like it moves from the tractors in FS15. They moved like that, even though the road they were on looked mostly flat, it looked like they were hitting tons of ruts. Rice paddies. Interesting. Is that GPS like the mod a in FS17 and 19?
This has the slightest upgrades they could get away with. Almost like Madden or NBA 2K. Enough to call the game new but its not really anything new. The crop textures inside trailers ect still look like trash.
I did preorder, I just hate how so many things are indeed copy and paste. I'm not trash talking the game, I suppose you could say it's just lack-luster in many areas. Leaves much to be desired in a game being released in 2024, almost 2025. They had so much time to develope better pallet physics, at least hay bales that moved differently, better physics for picking stuff up by hand and with a loader, giving things proper weights, etc. Ground deformation is way behind compared to other video game engines, you have Snowrunner as an example and of all things, War Thunder, the tracks the vehicles leave in War Thunder which isn't even a game about ripping up the ground, has better ground deformation than a game that relies on it for immersion. The graphics do look better and the textures were improved, I just feel it would be better to take more time to release a game with actual ground breaking changes, or release a game like so many companies are doing now and release major updates that introduce new features as they are created and implemented. I'll use War Thunder as another example, they don't release a new War Thunder every year, instead, they release new features in major updates that happen about 4 times every year. It's the same game since 2012, it's just been kept up to date and new features and graphical improvements have been added as the company developed them.
People are going to hate any game even if it’s the same or a tad different but people will still buy it and make the modders money at the end of the day so who cares I’m buying it just because I love having ever version of the game.
I just got into this game this year and ive been blown away by how immersive, fun, rewarding, and detailed this game is. Coming from a guy who was an amateur CS pro for 8 years. Ive seen several things i wish they could change or add so far but thats a part of every game i have ever played. Im a labor worker anyways, ill leave the developing to the guys that are much better at math and programming than i am and thank them for what they do
So, what iteration of FS is this? Seventh? And it took them this long to implement partial terrain deformation and CoursePlay/GPS. And yet the rain still is just static screen overlay coming from one direction no matter the camera position... Also, what are they running on? NASA quantum computer? 4K at what can be assumed full details? Even current gen FS is impossible to run at semi-high end PC at 4K on full details and get more than 30FPS
In one breath you complain at things to save performance, and the next you complain about performance. If you modelled the rain, can you imagine how much people would moan about the loss of FPS when it rains. Having a static rain animation works just fine. Same for ground deformation, why would you need to be able to dig any part of the ground? It is computation resources for no reason. I think you should have a look at settings as well, because by semi-decent PC averages over 60 FPS unless the map is absolutely full of trees and other resource heavy placeables. Turning down some of the shadow stuff usually works.
you know in Vietnam, Thai, India, Rica farming is done so differently, the temperature is so hot, if you use seedlings in a Greenhouse it'll burn the seeds . Just FYI
You can see it on the field being seeded. Irl it's also not noticable outside of plowing and driving on overturned soil, the roots prevent combines and such from displaicing the ground much.
Why? The ground is deformed. I'd prefer they made is so you had to avoid this to be able to plant, but its a step forward. Why would anyone want to be able to have fully deformable ground? Waste of resources.
@@stevendaly4640 Construction stuff, earthmoving? Irl some farms do earthworks for their buildings themselves. Also, improperly plowed fields would result in massive height variations
I've always wanted to be able to have two maps connected, you can use the train to deliver to an off map sell point, but what if you wanted to go to that map without losing your farm
Driving physics don't look too different from FS22, and that is not a compliment. Did anyone played Agrar Simulator 2011? I remember they had much better feel of driving a tractor, much better feel of the tractor weight. I mean it was a buggy game but all that aside it was better than FS in terms of tractor driving. They even got tire tracks on the field and on the grass in 2011. Too bad they tried dynamic ground in the next version and failed big time, and that was the end of FS competition.
There's a severe lack of gameplay in this raw gameplay video. It's all 30 seconds clips. And by the looks of it, the soil deformation doesn't deeper than an inch, they look to be glorified tyre tracks.
I hope they have improved the overall AI. I've used it for the first time in FS22 and IMO it sucks. And then I was told by someone it was worse before. O.o Also, I hope the maps are better, because the ones in FS22 have so many awkward places it's not even funny.
They still look very stiff don’t they? I did notice in one of the shots it seemed like the seat in the tractor was moving. I actually think we have that in fs22 with the correct settings changed. I might have to try and play in 1st person more in FS25. I think that could be very immersive.
Most tractors don't have suspension systems, except cab and seat suspension. Some manufacturers are just starting to incorporate suspension systems on the front axle but they are still pretty bouncy.
I’m with you on this, Why does a 10 to 15 ton tractor moves like a toy truck on that dirt road, the tires would have some kind of floatation, then it should look so more smoother.
