Thank you for the video and for the nice explanation of what was happening there. Great accomplishment, I doubt that Alexey cared too much about his ascent not being "beautiful", his objective was to set a new World record not to win a beauty pageant.
I agree that unlikely Alexey worries about how beautiful his technique is :) On the flip side, effective technique = beautiful technique 😉 Nevertheless, sooner or later, GAS Narcosis will play a bigger role in freediving competition, and this dive is an example of why. Even Alexey, who is the Master of the monofin, can be affected by gas narcosis..
