Thank you so much for the info. I’ve just recently decided the Can-Am Spyder is what I want. I’m a spoiled senior citizen, and want to get back on a bike. It’s been 30 years, and yes, there are extremely good reasons why I haven’t had one. I haven’t even seen a Can-Am up close yet, but plan to drive to the dealer very soon to get to touch one and ask questions. You’re video has helped TREMENDOUSLY! If we lived close, I’d say, “Meet ya for a ride.” 😃😃
I'm really seeing why people are disliking the Can Am it is a great vehicle thats different from a two wheel motorcycle but still a motorcycle that's more comfortable and easier to ride allowing you to just enjoy the ride. Thanks for sharing I have never been on one and haven been on a motorcycle in 20years have a shoulder injury that may or may not be an issue but I'd take my chances with this, appreciate your channel stay safe!
Thank you. The Can Am products allow for freedom and opportunities for those of us that may have limitations. Not having to balance and worry about loose gravel is a big plus and difference. They are easy to ride and b/c you have 2 wheel experience, you will ride it with a small learning curve.
You have a great looking F3 ! You take great care of it and you are knowledgeable about the bike! Your video is very informative and answers a lot of questions we would have about the bike. Please keep posting more videos! Can not wait! Enjoy your bike while riding safely ! Big Thanks!
Thanks. I appreciate the support. Trying to enhance videos. Slow process. Currently over the last 2 days I have been experimenting with the GoPro 10. Thanks for the support!! Trying to get that content.
Great video. Especially that you deliver information with a sales job attached. I have a 2019 RT LTD and it’s an entirely different animal. Imagine driving a Shelby Mustang
Your bike really looks good. I had a very good salesman who showed me all of the models and explained everything and I purchased the 2021 F3 limited. I really like it and I am glad that I made that choice.
very nice video and good info, thank you so much. I am thinking of getting one because I am 73yrs old and I just sold my Harley because it was getting too heavy to handle. I exercise and stay in good shape but the fear of falling over on a bike is not too cool. but this can-am looks just right for me. many Blessings for you and may you always be Safe.
.Nice informative video sir, also like the music volume. Some folk have it way too loud. Now I am 6' 4" 66 kilo's (146lb) and 73 years old and at the moment I'm riding a 2020 Yamaha MT 10 SP which I can barely get both big toe's touching the ground when I stop so have been looking at the Can-Am Spyder for probably me last purchase. I live in New Zealand and the F3-S costs $35.000 here. If I can a good price for my MT 10 which cost $24,500 I will certainly be buying one.
I'm 78' been riding since 1963. Got my bike in the shop being serviced,, its a Kawasaki 1600 Vulcan got it new, seriously looking into getting one of theses, but i do want all the bags. They just look safer and a lot more fun than two wheels, and more for gear, i do 80 mile rides to get fuel😊, you gotta enjoy... I'm ready to sell my 2007 jag convertible to make room in the garage.
From my experience as a 2 wheel rider as well, I can’t see myself without the 3 wheels ever. Even if I ever purchase 2 wheels again, 3 wheels will always be one of my rides as well. Much safer and stability is a huge plus.
i recently took my 3 wheeled safety course and passed now i have to go to the DMV to get my permit and get the motorcycle endorsement on my license this past weekend i went and looked at a 2015 Can Am Spyder F3-S its a beautiful bike i cant wait to purchase it .
Thanks for the video i will be purchasing one in March or April. My class is in 3 weeks. I was going back and forth with which Bike I have just made up my mind after watching your video Can Am spyder F3S need that cruise.
Thanks for the info I am, as you say, on the fence about purchasing. Will keep your input in mind if I decide to take that leap. Thanks again. Gotta remember FS-3!🙉
Enjoyed the video. There is not hardly any videos out there on the F3ss. Most of them are from other countries and cant understand a thing they say. Stay safe out there my friend
I take delivery of a 2016 F3 LSS with 4,000 miles tomorrow. I take the safety course Saturday. At one time I rode my FJR1300 everywhere. Now that I'm retired I'm gonna ride the heck out of this trike! I'm one overjoyed fella. 😍 Great job BTW.
Considering of trading my HD Street Glide. Considered going to the trike side. HD trikes are difficult to maneuver, especially in city traffic. Their rides are rougher than the Street Glide. THEN I road the F3. Wow major difference! Nicer & comfortable ride. Way easier to maneuver. Plenty of power. More stability going around corners & curves than the HD. Not crazy about the styling but newer models are better. Just have not made the switch. I appreciate the videos for my personal research.
Thanks for the info. I'm on the fence at the moment. I'm concerned about the comfort for long distance. And since I live in the middle of Nebraska, the cleaning off the bugs looks like it would be a pain. Lot of nooks and crannies on that machine.
Sold my 2016 F3-S a couple of months ago. Did a lot of expensive mods to it, but it was well worth it. I absolutely loved the bike, but it was time to let it go. I might consider getting another F3-S in the future. Thanks for the video.
I have the 2017 F3 LTD I drove 650 miles in 12 hours ( North Carolina to New Jersey) I felt safe to go 70 MPH on the highways , I did not worry about going down. Is a great bike and comfortable.
I live in NJ as well and super curious people who own the sypder think about it’s maintenance, repair, etc etc, things I don’t even have a clue about. I want to get one, but I need to know the details about its cost for maintenance etc
Wow i have a f3s and i love the seat i also love that its easy to have a passenger . It's what sold me. The extra horse power and the passenger seat. Triple black is 🔥🔥
On the fence about the F3 and Ryker. Which do you prefer to ride since I see you have both? I'm 6'4 260+ and was wondering how comfortable the ryker would be.
Still in love with this bike. Little sick that the weather is yucky and cannot ride. Bike has been put up and is on battery maintainer and fuel stabilizer. Can't wait for the spring time. Thanks for the comments and support everyone.
Cruise control can be added it’s available from CanAm as a plug-in with harness and right hand controller. It is a replacement part for the S3 but will work on the basic f3 as well.
Just finished my training course this pass weekend, was gonna buy the Ryker 900 edition but decided to go with the F3 S or SS…btw thanks for the info. Please make a video explaining the buying process when dealing with in-house financing 👍🏾💯
This was a great video Dwism! Thanks. I purchased my Can-Am F3 S 2 weeks ago. Can you tell me where to purchase the carbon fiber wrap overlays for your Can Am. That is beautiful!! please share. Thank you
I purchased those carbon fiber pieces from 2 websites. 1. Sliingmods.com 2. wrapmyspyder.com. Let me know if you have any other questions. Appreciate the support.
I wanted to ask. I have never driven a 2 wheel motorcycle much less this kind. But I have really considered about getting a spyder. I feel like it would be the better choice for me. Would you say 3 wheel is a lot easier? And anything you would warn someone like me. I will do that safety course but from your experience any type of a warning for a new guy like me?
I’ve been looking at motorcycles for years. My dad has a Harley, and I’ve always been enamored with them. I have mild cerebral palsy. I can walk, but need a walker is about the extent of it. Do you feel like this is a good bike for someone like me?
have seen people with various disabilities who have been able to make some modifications to fit their needs. It really depends on your limitations and what you feel comfortable with.
I appreciate your video and the info. I will be a new owner soon and I'm taking in the info. Question where do you get phone mount, wider mirrors? floor boards
Thanks for your comment and support of the channel. Phone Mount is from Quad Lock. I believe they are the best. Really simple to attach and detach.(www.quadlockcase.com). The mirrors from Slingmods. They provide wider viewer angles and fit over the existing mirrors. I don't have floor boards at this point. I am still looking for some that I like.
Thanks for the video! Just wondering if the service for them like oil changes etc are really expensive? I have a can am ATV and the maintenance is really pricey!
I actually purchased the maintenance plan for 5 years. Not sure how much service would cost otherwise, but will find out. Great question. I will let you know.
like ur video .. to be honest you didnt need to spend on all that lighting ...... i agree thr upgrade would have been better with cruise control but how many long trips u take .. for the extra lights .. how much night ruding you actually do???? i agree a back rest especially for older riders... great mods !!!!
So true. I've been thinking about buying for for the past year. With can am raising the price by $2000 you would think they wold added the cruise control on the 2022 F3 not only just raising the horse power. I think you can get the cruise control added on to the f3. I would talk to the dealership about it.
Hello I also have been talking to the dealership in HTX where I purchased my spyder no luck as getting solid confirmation.. others have switched out the RH switch that has cruise control button some have said its works plug and play. I have ran into the problem dealer will not confirm if it will work on my 2021 syder base model. I really would like to add this feature but do not want to invest in something with no guarantee nor do want to void my warranty. Please let me know if your dealership has confirmed it will work and if so can you attach the correct part # that would be a BLESSING! THANKS
Yea, good info on the cruise and back rest! Question. At 5'8", would this be a comfortable ride? I've had a problem with some bikes and how they are set up for taller riders.
The cool thing about the Spyders is that they are adjustable. I would recommend going to a local dealer and sittting on one. They accommodate a variety of sizes.
Your videos helped me with alot including my purchase and mods. Question my Homie and I are stuck on what we should do for sound. I see 8" to 4" speakers. Did you go for the speakers you have for looks? Or is the JBL pretty good with motor & road noise? Also why not bigger speakers like Rockford Fosgate?
Lol.. If you want to hear your music, don’t fool with JBL speakers. They look good, but that is it. Please explore other options. I didn’t necessarily want the big 🔊 speakers.
@@dwismwurks hahaa thank you ! I'm not a fan of the bigger speakers neither on the spyder. I'm sticking with 6.5 but with more power. Thanks brotha keep pumpin these videos out !
I’m a new subscriber to your channel you are really helping me decide between the F3 Special and the RT I am torn between those two models, however I think I am leaning more towards the F3 special! now my question is what is the difference in your opinion, between the 2021 and the 2022 F3S, F3 special and the RT’S. I like the customization availability but don’t want to make so many that I wish I should of got the High end RT because I’m like you I love the stance of F3 Special but I don’t want to make that mistake If that makes any sense? Thanks!
You really need to think about the type of riding you will be doing. The RT is perfect for those longer rode trips and if more comfort is desired. Personally I like the customization options for the F3 and the sportiness. The windshield and heated grips are the biggest plus for me, for the RT. Cruise Control can be had on both. What kind of riding do you think you will be doing?
@@dwismwurks Thanks for the quick reply, I live in Lower LA (lower Alabama) close to the beach. I’m not looking to go very far when riding but I am like you I like the sports look, however I like the comfort (Cadillac, Lincoln) but the capability to travel overnight! I was looking at F3 special and RT without all the bags. But I am thoroughly doing my Research and you have been a big help through the process with your videos! Keep them coming!
A "money pit" is when you buy something and have to dump tons of money into it just to keep it running. Kind of like my Harley Road King Classic with $3,000 in engine work to fix the design failures after 10,571 miles in 1 year. That was with me doing the work.
Great video! I just got purchased a 2015 F3 S, do the newer bikes suffer from the drive belt vibrations like the 2015’s I’ve ordered a belt tensioner from Lamonster. Just curious, I feel it when I hit about 60mph.
Watching your videos made me go get that Spyder f3s ss 2021. Thinking of mods I can do. Definitely changing out the lights and I know I need some LEDs.
I like the color I like the color the wheels. Too bad The RT limited Doesn't come in black And you're right the backrest would have been really nice. I Won't buy a bike if the cruise control is not on it. You got a real nice bike. Sounds mean I like that.
I have a 2021 Ryker and I like the bike but for being 6'4" it can be very uncomfortable. I will be custom making my seat to bring it up like 3" to make it more comfy because they don't have any seats that are higher.
Let’s call the F3S a Shelby Mustang and the RT LTD a Raptor. Both fun, both fast and both are driven differently, especially through the twists and turns. Regardless, once the rider is dialed in they’re very difficult to stay off of.
During my training course I rode a unit that had foot pegs instead of floor boards. Have you ever found yourself wishing you had floor boards? Seems they would allow a bit more comfort.
I have riden others with floor boards. The floor boards most certainly allow for much better comfort. I like the looks of the pegs because of the sportiness it brings. Just like the windshield, I like the functionality but not necessarily the looks.
Like front trunk for storing helmet when you get there. Don't like that bottem of front rad shroud drags ground when hitting dip in road or drive way. Wish they had fully auto shift option, already shifts down by itself now.
You can go wrong with either one. I prefer the F3-T b/c of more of the motorcycle feel. The Slingshot is fun as well, but reminds me of a super fast convertible. Hope you have a speedy recovery and get back to riding.
The longest ride that I have made was 3 hours. GA to SC. What I really missed was a back rest. Other than that, I was fine. Really could have benefited from back support.
My question is can you get the passenger seat with the side bags? And is it good for cruising long distance or just short rides around 100 miles. will take on interstate rides.and can you get cruise? I'm really looking at getting one in a few days.or should I wait to get the RT with the full side bag/boxes?
Truly, if you know that you will be doing highway and distance riding, I would only go for the RT. F3 is good for highway and some distance, but will not give you nearly the comfort. I prefer the F3 b/c of sportiness and the fact that I do not go long distances.
LMAO! Yeah you do get a few two wheelers that don't give the peace sign! They don't know I ride two wheels also, this Spyder is just part of the stable. Any two wheel riders reading this comment show your 3 wheel brothers and sisters some love. They may have an injury or cant ride two wheels anymore and just want something different! These things are a blast, they handle like a sports car with the two wheels in the front.
Hi Song, I’m considering buying a can am F-3, I know it’s different from the RT. But I’m very curious about what problems you’re facing with your RT? You called it a money pit, care to explain what kind of problems have you faced to call it a money pit. Thx
@@adnantariq3346 What I mean by a Money pit is that I brought my RT less than 3 months ago and I have had to make several repairs. The mirror on the left side vibrates which is a manufacturer defect. I was told to purchase a mirror lock. Why should I pay for that defect as everyone has this problem, They made these machines with cheap plastic parts where metal should have been used. Had I known this prior ... I would have never brought the machine.
@@songjames4609 Hi song, thanks for the feedback. Was this left side mirror vibrating the ONLY defect, that made you call it a money pit? Or have there been other issues as well. By the way, I completely agree with you, you shouldn't have to pay for a defect as everyone had that problem. You mentioned you had to make several repairs? what other issues did you have, and by the way thank you for sharing, because it helps me learn a lot about it. You had two machine, yes? hopefully the brand new 'money pit' did not cause more expensive .
@@adnantariq3346 I had to replace my sway bar and I got my suspension lifted as far as air put into the shock because when I went over bumps I thought every nook and cranny of that bump at least my bum did. Plus I had lights installed to make you more visible
The first upgrade to the bike is a belt tensioner,,, you have no idea how much vibration is eliminated with it, on my second spyder and if you do not have one your crazy.
