What's your experience on INTERIOR DEFENSE so far?

One thing I’ve noticed that may mess up your testing is the fact that ratings seem to only be there for badge thresholds. You can still do just about everything in the game with a low rating but will not have badges you need to be dominant. I’m constantly greening with a 25 inside and 25 layup when I have space on a defender.

So basically u could have a 99 interior defense and still get dunked damn shame 😂😂💀

I would love to see a difference in the effectiveness of on-ball vs off-ball steals between glove and right stick ripper. When to use each one. So far I've hypothesized that right stick ripper is better for on-ball steals and glove/interceptor and off ball steals are better with pressing square

The combo of decently high strength and average interior defense is pretty decent on big guards

Yea but if a player has 70+ interior defense they can stop interior scorers. They need to do a better job with the green windows and rewarding high attributes vs low attribute players. If I have a center that is 7 ft and I’m guarded by a 6’8 sf something should be able to work on him. If I’m going against another big neither one of us can score. Also it’s a shame that the window is so small even when wide open whether your going for a dunk or jumpshot. Hopefully this next patch addresses a lot of issues 2k has

How important is interior defense on a 6’6 PG

Dunk meter is completely shot online. Literally will be wide open and the green window is one pixel.

On the meter dunk part, they have mentioned that it’s bugged currently so keep that In mind

Hands up defense is like non-existent this year.

I have a 97 driving and HOF precision dunker and gold posterizer and every time I got for a skill dunk my meter is literally so small even in my career why is that

Need an anchor test next :) Been hearing a lot about skipping gold anchor because silver is good enough but want some hard stats before I sacrifice gold anchor on my big man build

Yea interior got a nice buff when they tune it they tune all ratings together on a buff to make everyone compete or be satisfied some games cause players with centers an power fowards have skill gaps as well

My problem is when I hold the right stick up for hands up defense sometime he holds his hands up sometimes he just sits there the shit is annoying

They need to buff the green window vs interior defense. This is what anyone who uses the meter feared - paint defense was buffed too much. If you have good ratings & badges, yes it should be harder to dunk. But that meter is really small in MyCareer vs low interior defense players.

Interior Defense is trash this year. Opponent doesn't even need to 0ress any buttons to make you miss

I can’t stop a layup at all in this damn game. And those off the dribble mid range jumpers are literally impossible to in this game.

also for all my guards, interior defense is super cheap to upgrade and won’t upgrade rebound until 50 so make sure to have it on.

2k makes mistakes often, so I'm wondering if you should test if interior defense will also give you a higher contest rating on the perimeter too. Would be a game changer for locks

So what I’m hearing is no matter how good you are on defense statistically they made a game where they let offense dominate the game…….again.

I have low 70’s interior (7 foot 85 3 ball) with gold anchor (93? 94? Block) and I keep everyone to less than 8-10pts a game. Seems to work fine, in 2k’s “pre built” characters they all have low interior.

Can you do a strength video I’m curious. Break down perimeter defense with or without strength Like 99 strength with 99 perimeter vs 25 strength with 99 perimeter. Also post defense with 99 interior 25 strength vs 99 interior and 99 strength. Also strength with rebounding Side note with and without the badges. ( fast feet immovable force etc )

It's not just interior defense, defense on the perimeter is changed, they pretty much ruined the game IMO.

They need to change it back because interior defense rating should definitely affect how easy it is to get dunked on. Especially if the defender has their hands up or jumps to go for the block.

Jump contest trash getting easy layups over the jump contest and shot contest being tied to perimeter Defense was the dumbest thing they did show someone thats going to hit direct in a 7fter jumping face no side step nothing just straight shoot through

Are you taking badges into account? For instance you need 61 interior for bronze anchor id imagine that would be alot better than 25 interior with no anchor.

You should test if there is a late or early bug in jumpshots this year, I remember in 2k21 I had and late big on my jumpshot no matter what i timed it, it was always late.
