Leopard Kill: A leopard stalks and catches a warthog in the Kruger National Park. Filmed by Wild Wings Safaris on 14 February 2016 wild-wings-safaris.com
it's not until you see them in their natural habitat that you realize that leopards are the exact color of their environment, even i couldnt see it at points no wonder theyre so effective as hunters
Yeah...it's BS bro. Leopards evolved their predator skills..Wild Wings Safari evolved their pricing...but Mother Nature forgot to evolve an extra pair of horns for the warthogs a$$cheeks
Mother nature is brutal. Even if the warthog escapes most of its adult life eventually it will grow old and another predator will take its life. There is no escape!
If by battles you mean the domination that a ripped and powerful pitbull would be against a hound dog,or a show poodle🐩 That's a one-sided affair 90% of the time, that's 9 ou of 10 times The leopard turns the hog into bacon bits!!!
Just to clarify, the sound of hooting was not from our vehicle, and was probably accidental as someone frantically tried to steer themselves into a better viewing position. The noise aside, it was a very special sighting!
Im not a vegan and dont criticise me for saying this but if i was there i would have tried to save the warthog instead of just sit there watching and filming cause i dont like seeing animals get killed especially if its a slow painful death as they struggle for freedom while basically screaming for help and from pain (its more of a cry for help cause i noticed animals that have the ability to scream wont even be getting attacked but from being cornered or just grabbed, they scream) and to all of you who say stuff like "animals are meant to be killed/eaten" no they aren't but predators have an excuse and that excuse is "instinct" its what they are born to do, but we humans have 2 different terrible excuses and they are "meat tastes good" and "cause we can" and those 2 "reasons" is why everyone thinks "we need meat to survive" but here is reality "we need meat cause fruits and vegetables taste like crap" we dont need meat at all and its kinda greedy to take the life of another living thing just cause it tastes good, i eat meat but that doesnt make it right... Infact if meat was no longer available and animals stopped being killed i would be fine with that..... I cant stand the taste of vegetables but i love fruit! and i swear if a single person calls me a tree hugger/hippy or something stupid like that then i completely just freakin give up on society! My point is, that leopard had an excuse to kill the warthog but we dont have a proper excuse for all the animals we kill, also life is full of choices, example: You can save prey from predator and the predator will be hungry for another day or 2 or you can sit and watch or just move away and the prey dies and the predator lives to kill more, either way if you choose save then there are multiple outcomes. Its either: (You save the prey animal and yourself, you feel amazing for doing so and the predator will either starve or move onto the next animal, either way, you saved the life of another living thing, with almost no downside), (you save the prey animal by sacrificing yourself, you are in severe pain as you watch the animal you just saved run away! But you feel good knowing you atleast did something good), (you live but fail to save the prey animal, you either feel nothing or you are upset from your failure) or (you both die and either: Neither of you go down without a fight or you both die very quickly or one dies quick as the other fights for survival but dies in the end) oh and dont say "this is the real world, buddy its nature" cause real nature is full of choices! Im done with my rambling now, but i hope atleast someone agrees with this!
@@hyperpengu8722 no one agrees. It's pointless spouting off - meat is murder but meat is delicious and that's the end of it. As for this video - the boar was already fucked , no point in stepping in and why deny a beautiful beast his hard won meal . . Goodbye
@@hyperpengu8722 ok thats good an all but if you we're there and tried saving that warthog, I would've shot you and leave you so the leopard could eat you instead of the warthog. Animal's got to eat, and denying that leopard it's hard-earned meal is as good as giving it a death sentence
Nice of you to provide noise cover with the vehicle for the leopard. If you are going to view wildlife in the wild at least give the prey a fair chance and make it like you're not even there.
I think warthogs die most of time 'cause they never fight back, they just try to escape. Of course leopard is a predator, but If warthogs try to hurt the enemy with their tusks instead to surrender, so they would increase chances of survive.
I've witnessed Warthogs keep Wild Dogs at a distance by always facing them front-on baring their tusks (this assumes it's an adult/male warthog as well, who is sizable and has grown out tusks to begin with)... but this is a different situation altogether. Leopards are extremely stealthy and Warthogs get caught very much by surprise, and once caught, unless it has like 10 other warthogs nearby to assist, it's a goner.
@@gagarontol9843 We did live in the wild, tens of thousand of years ago. But we evolved, became intelligent and built weapons to fight off predictors, and other enemies.
I often wonder how the warthogs, whom seems like their existence is to be food for other predators and that, how the heck their species able to still be around after millions of years of evolution?...Either they're super lucky, or prolific in breeding,. They can't fight back worth a crap, lol
Thank you for keeping your engine running so the Warthog stood no chance of hearing the Leopard. I would thank you on behalf of the Warthog but i'm sure it's screams as it was eaten alive are thanks enough.
Why did these safari guides have the engines running? It’s not fair to the boar, it can’t hear the leopard. They constantly say it’s not their place to interfere with nature, yet they just did.
Fortunately, leopards are clever enough to adapt to all the idiot tourists who follow them around honking their horns and driving noisy, diesel-powered trucks.
This is immoral. Because of the gasoline and noise from the vehicles in that close proximity the Warthog did not the sense the presence of the Leopard . So the people in the vehicle should stop watching and help the Warthog escape.
Survival tactics classes for all warthogs will be conducted next week at 9am at Kruger park free of charge. Something they will not teach you at warthog school. Power vision and hearing aids chargeable at $10 each. What you will learn. 1. How to spot and identify your predator. 2. How not to trust tourists in a vehicle. They only enjoy seeing you die. 3. Kungfu session and how to counter attack. 4. How to retire peacefully and live until you are 90.
Warthogs are easy prey for most predators. It's hard to understand how they withstood all of this as a species. Somehow Natural Selection worked for them.
It is mostly the successful hunts that are filmed. Warthogs aren't always taken when they are hunted and chased. Also, they have sharp, powerful tusks that can potentially ward off predators. They are also pretty fast, and alert. Lastly, don't forget that they also hide in burrows, making it difficult for certain predators to get at it.
no, warthog is pretty difficult prey, they so fast, tough and their tusk is dangerous weapon, the most easy prey for leopard and other predator is impala, human and domestic dog
