Honestly nothing gets me going like older anime does, it's incomparable.

Just a public announcement: I am now 23 years old and I was around 12-13year old when I used to be OBSESSED with romance anime. This list is more for people who appreciate the old and the new. I know there’s plenty of new anime out there since the video was made but just to clarify sailor moon and mermaid melody were my childhood so they can NEVER be replaced 😂

Missing my childhood days *tears start flowing* 😭😭 really love Mermaid melody, special a, kaichou wa maid sama and fushigi yuugi so much, also their songs are so superb!!

I really love old school romance anime’s there’s just something different about them than new gen anime I think it’s the humor

Mermaid Melody was my first anime I ever watched! I never regret watching it!!! I could watch it over and over again and not get bored :D

DEFINITELY watch Kodocha if you haven't already! I laughed, I smiled, I went "Aww! :3" it's a great anime don't be set back by the fact it's a longer one!

Omg most of my favorites are here! Itazura na kiss , kaichou wa maid sama, skip beat (READ THE MANGA,ITS ONGOING!),kodocha,gakuen alice,special a,Ouran high school host club,etc Totally recommended reading the manga of these ones cuz most of em have a continuation of the story in the anime⬆⬆⬆ Here are other animes that you may like too! (dunno if they are from the 2000-2010 tho): Kamisama hajimemashita,Ao haru ride,sukitte-iinayo,soredemo sekai wa utsukushii, diabolik lovers,kimi ni todoke,shugo chara and clannad.

Iv watched almost all of the top 13 and my favorite ones were cardcaptor sakura, kodomo no momocha, gakuen alice and maid sama. You should really put kamichama karin in there and kirarin revolution too

Inuyasha may seem intimidating with 167+ episodes (it just ended this year) but it is AMAZINGLY WORTH IT!!!! It's so individualistic and sweet in so many ways.......it's worth watching all of the episodes, so to anyone who doesn't want to watch it because of how many episodes it has, my advice is this: watch the first episode and see if you don't get hooked (because you will)

Fruits Basket was so sweet and touching! :) The manga's better though because it continues the romantic story line ;)

I have watched all of these literally I have watched all of these and it made me cry (beacuse I remembered the happy memories when I watched them all. I always cry at the end of each and every anime when it ends just the flood of sadness comes to me 😢)

Marmalade boy for me is one of the most beautiful story ive ever watch a romance,comedy and drama...i just cant stop watching it again and again

Here are some more that I binge watch all the time that I would highly recommend: Wolf girl and the black prince- A high school romance and the boy is kinda (very) tsundere Kamisama Kiss- Kind of Historucal but modern setting. Nanami is homeless now that her father's gambling has finally taken a toll on the two. She meets a land god who was absent from his shrine 20 years now and gives his duty as land god to the highschool god. She makes a fox yokai named tomoe her familiar and together a new story blooms. Snow White With the Red Hair- You know I'm not even going to try and explain how godly this romance is. Yona of the Dawn- After her childhood crush and still crush comes back to the princess' castle she thinks to marry him but he had other plans seeing as he kills her father. To avenge the king she and the general sworn to protect her must journey to find the four dragon's that serve the crimson haired king/queen. Fairy Tail- The adventures of a rambunctious wizard guild that exceeds high above the rest. Orange- A young girl age 16 gets letters from future her explaining what not to do and what to do to refrain from having so much regret in the future.

Shows I thought would be a waste of time until I watched them: Peach Girl, Gakuen Alice, Lovely Complex, Kaichou wa Maid-sama, Fruits Basket, and probably more. Trust me. These shows were better than I thought they'd be. YOU DEFINITELY WON'T REGRET WATCHING THESE :3

finished Itazura na Kiss just now, it was absolutely adorable ♥ most romance animes are like this: it takes till the last episode for the main characters to get together after lots of difficulties and then you wonder what happens after that, but this anime for the first time shows the story from the first meeting till the first child loved it ^-^ i agree on the others too :3

Special A and Maid Sama are the best. Maid Sama is def my personal fav

Good job with mermaid melody! I like the first season more though, Ukeru pissed me off too much where i got overly exceited and almost broke my own computer lol. But yeah, I respect your choices, one thing though? vampire guilty? It's an excellent anime, one of romance too, but i'm confused on the comedy section of it, it just seemed so serious all the time. Oh well, that's just me. That just seemed to be what stuck out, not like the anime was bad or anything. Anyways, good job!

The first anime I ever watched was Mermaid Melody and I fell in love with anime. Out of the ones on this video I have seen Ouran High School Host Club, Mermaid Melody, Cardcaptor Sakura, School Rumble, and Fruits Basket, which was my second anime. My third was the host club one my fourth was Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne and I finished that today. I have seen many others though. These are just the ones of where I have seen EVERY episode instead of a few! Still love those animes forever!

I can still remember how frustrated I was as a kid when the sequence episode of Fruit's Basket wasn't shown in the RU-vid back when 2013. I was very curious about their love story because I was rooting for the dark haired guy :( thnx for the spoilers now that I know who's she ended up with.
