The reason Chris Poland only did a couple of shows and isn't really involved with this project is because he had his own thing to do, Ohm. And on the subject of Damn The Machine... There maybe new music coming from them, according the Singer David when I bought some DTM vinyl off of Bandcamp.

Jeff Young was good for the material Dave had at the time. Poland was definitely my favorite, Peace Sells is a Thrash masterpiece.

The opening riff to Set the World Afire is a absolute screamer,the track was written by Mustaine on his long trip back from New York on a Greyhound after getting kicked out of Metallica.

Wow! I'm a big fan of Sea of Tranquility as well. It's hard to believe that Pete Pardo could piss anyone off. He's like the most mild-mannered guy in the world. "Peace Sells" was the second album I ever bought as a kid (the first was "Asylum" -the 3rd was "Flick of the Switch")-I agree "So Far So Good" was a bit of a letdown for me.

I don't think Pete ticked him off. He got upset by the comments. He used to really drag out his answers when he was with Pete. He was operating on sixteen RPMs most of the time. It was tedious for the listener.

Chris Poland is easily my favorite guitarist of Megadeth. No offense to Marty Friedman because he is great. But something about Chris Poland's history is intriguing. He and Gar were from an instrumental jazz fusion band The New Yorkers. That shit is mind blowing to listen to. Great channel as well and rock on.

No one sounds like him. Friedman sounds unique but still very 80’s shredder. Poland is out of this world. My favorite Megadeth after Rust was System Has Failed and a lot of that was due to the guest spot from Poland

Liar and Hook in Mouth are as good as any Megadeth song as any and I’m one those guys who prefers SFSGSW over Peace Sells and I actually personally like Countdown better than Rust in Peace even though I agree that RIP is a masterpiece I just love the mix and groove of the slower tempos of Countdown but through Youthanasia there’s no bad albums.

I bought the Kings Of Thrash live album months ago and it is just ok in my opinion. These songs sound so weird to me because of the singing. I feel like Dave Mustaine is the only one to sing these songs. Setlist is amazing though. 1. Last Rites 2. Rattlehead 3. The Skull Beneath The Skin 4. Good Mourning/Devil's Island 5. Wake Up Dead 6. 502 7. In My Darkest Hour Cd 2. 1. Orange Light 2. Into The Lungs Of Hell 3. Set The World Afire 4. Killing Is My Business....And Business Is Good 5. Chosen Ones 6. Liar 7. Hook In Mouth 8. Mechanix 9. These Boots 10. Peace Sells... But Who's Buying I agree with you that the original lineup is the best lineup ever. Love those first two albums. The System Has Failed is an awesome album because Chris Poland's guitar solos sound amazing.

i love all 80s Megadeth except the Anarchy cover.Peace Sells and that lineup and era rule.Rust in Peace great too.also really like The System Has Failed,Endgame and Dystopia.and some tracks from other albums are really good too.Megadeth kept some descent and at least metal songs on those lean albums.They werent all totally bad albums.except Risk most would say but i still like a song or 2 and a couple others ok but the rest no.bad album no doubt.

The first two albums with Chris & Gar were the best. So Far So Good grew on me over time. Woulda been rad to have heard Chris & Gar on it, I think it woulda been a more intense & tighter album. Some people disagree with me, but I hate the original mix of So Far So Good. Just sounds bleak & like it’s covered in a wet blanket of reverb. When Mustaine did the remix/remastered releases in the 2000’s, it was the only album out of the whole catalogue that I felt benefited from it. Actually, I dug the remix of Killing is My Business as well, as it really brought out Gars drum tracks.

I agree about the Killing remix but I personally love the sloppy reverberated original mix of So Far. That said the vinyl version was what I had growing up so I think that edition was probably thicker sounding than the tape and cd
