👋 In todays video we get this 2023 Ford Mustang Ecoboost out on the Tail of the Dragon! One of the best and most popular driving roads on the east coast and we have the amazing opportunity to test several cars and put them to the test as far as handling goes and how they perform! So be sure to check out the other cars that we tested!
For this Ford Mustang, our opinion on this Ecoboost trim level is that this is a sporty car, but it's not a sportscar! This particular model had the performance package, so this was the most performance oriented ecoboost mustang with the driving modes and steering, but still didn't live up to how we would like it to perform on this road! If you gave us a Mustang GT350, GT500 or even a Mach 1, we would have a completely different video to share with you because those are performance oriented and very sporty! This Ford Mustang Ecoboost is more of a daily driving sporty car with practicality and it could do roads like this if you are driving normally! We were here to test how well this could perform, driving at our skill level and we didn't feel comfortable pushing this car! So if you were leisurely driving, it can certainly take turns!
The steering and the size of the car made it feel unsettling on turns and just not at home. Now if you are buying the Ford Mustang Ecoboost, you really aren't buying it for the power or performance, so it has a purpose for that buyer! But if you want to buy a Ford Mustang and take it to the track, mountain roads like the dragon and get that performance....even a base GT would be much better for those situations!
We really don't want to hate on this Ford Mustang Ecoboost because this is a perfect car for someone! Someone who wants a mustang, they want the practicality of having back seats, the trunk space and an enjoyable car to drive everyday!
But for the tail of the dragon....not the best car especially when you compare it to the other cars we had the chance to drive! If you want a Mustang and you want performance and practicality, you need to jump up to the V8 and go with those performance oriented models from Ford!
