@@rodriguezfrank9515 my “build” got a better intake and exhaust system plus a mechanical blow off valve. I also did some weight reduction like taking out the back seats but idk what affect that has. My current 0-60 is 4.5 if great conditions but it’s more realistically 4.8 flat.
You really want to dump some weight, gut your trunk, spare tire, carpet, insulation...do the same one the interior and just use rubber floor mats. Also, only have about ⅛ -¼ tank of gas.
Even though the ecoboost gets a lot of hate, its a good car in terms of decent mpg and fun. If you dont have enough for the big cyote, the ecoboost is still fun! My dad owns a 2015 and i love it
Just got my '24 Ecoboost back in November, so it's been about 8 months now - and I love the damn thing. When I pay this car off, I will consider upgrading to a V8 because those engines just sound so beautiful
Ya know what. I have a 2023 GT but I still appreciate the ecoboost and the V6 ! The ones saying that it’s slow af you’re dumb. It’s definitely faster than your little civic. That’s for sure!! All mustangs are awesome! I can’t stand when someone says “it’s just a V6” or “it’s just a ecoboost” like so what. Without them we wouldn’t have our awesome V8s
Use to have a 15 v6 and miss it a lot. I’d do extremely well against stock or close to stock RT’s. Especially on highway pulls..would gain some room before I would govern out around 128. If only I had mods😈 beat older v8 mustangs.. Plus I put 75k miles on her(mainly highway) in one year..no mechanical problems considering I drove like a dummy 100+ everywhere before I “matured” 😂. To each their own but overall all solid cars.
@@SlowFk8 pretty much everything is fast now lmao. My 15 v6 would take on older v8 mustangs. And had more stock hp..crazy that was fast and now that v8 is slow😂
My e30 Ecoboost was quick and fun. But these engines are fragile, blew one myself despite taking amazing care of it. They are just known for engine failures unfortunately, the fatal flaw. My 10-speed GT is much faster stock but the Ecoboost is a great value for those who can't afford a GT, highly recommend a warranty though.
@@_gho_sst most owners deny it and call me a hater bcuz theirs specifically hasn't blown up. I'm not a hater at all, if the engine was more durable it would be an even better deal than it already is. It's great fun, but it did take some fun away after it blew. It just always felt like I needed to baby it. It doesn't feel that way at all with the 10-speed GT, they are just super solid. The mt82 manual in both the Ecoboost and 5.0 is just as bad about failing. So the most solid option would be either of the auto 6r80 or 10r80 5.0s. If I ever owned another Ecoboost I'd make sure it had a warranty lol
Anything under six seconds is solid. Anything under five is fast. Anything under four is really fast. Anything around or below three is insane this side of a litre bike… Edit: I say this as a 6.1 Hemi owner in the 4.4-4.6 range
@@Elimuchwano2v Miatas and Subarus have the most gays. I hate Tesla fanboys too but do not lump me in with the gays. I come from a shitbox that I had to drive illegally all throughout high school and college, let me enjoy my mobile phone 🥲 $8500 off was too good to pass
never understood why people hate on the ecoboosts, sure they are as loud or fast as the 5.0s but you get cool turbo noises, better mpgs, and still a 4sec 0-60 car
The best I’ve gotten my 2017 v6 to pull was 5.8 (5.1 if there’s a slight decline) I’m hoping if I pull my rear seats and install a lightweight delete kit, and use a roush axle back exhaust, I can get it down to 5
That's pretty quick. If you're ready to ride on some real roads chasing the police and not the other way around then you are welcome to ride with me. Good evening from Regensburg.
I drive a shorty ram with the hemi. Ill race, have raced, and have beaten v6 challengers, chargers and camaros. These ecoboost mustangs even stock make me scared. If my v8 loses to a little 4 banger id cry 😂 and i know itd get stomped on
i dont hate the ecoboost motor, i just hate that its in the chassis of a mustang. if this motor was in a different car or a whole new car id love it, but under the hood of a mustang doesnt seem right, kinda like the mach e you could say.
Definitely nice to see another 2.3, but yeah, the V6 with the same turbo setup... then add a Turbo from factory for the V8.. have a whole separate Turbo Edition Series
Mines is 5.0 an I have a 6 speed automatic ecoboost hpp 2017 only an air intake an exhaust I haven’t even tuned it yet they make decent power I love it as a platform 👍🏽
Can I get your help? I’m trying to that access port for my ecoboost, my mods are an aftermarket turbonetics turbo with steal pipes all around, Inter cooler intake, and air aid intake, as well as a full exhaust system.. what map would you suggest bro?
@@klachi7 just get a pro tune by pd tunning . Once they know your mods they’ll sent you an email with the right tune for your car www.pd-tuning.com/tuning-request/
@@_gho_sst I know this is from a few months ago but if you dont mind me asking, how much did you sell the car for and did you revert it to stock or sell it as-is?
Wow! So that was stock with only open air intake box, double bov and 93 tune? How the fuck that maks flutter sound like that. And also is any of this mods bad for a car?
If not done correctly yeah . The dual bov needed a tune . It flutter like that cause the intake was an open air box and it had a turbosmart dual port shortie
