Welcome to Coffee Walk Ep. 168!
This week my team and I took off on a couple thousand mile, 24-hour run to rescue a couple of barn finds worthy of saving in Bloomsdale, Missouri and Ashley, Indiana. Two small towns, one truck, one trailer, one 65 Mustang Fastback and one 78 Toyota Extended Cab Dually w/ Camper Shell... if that's not the makings for the perfect Coffee Walk, then I don't know what is!

F&A. '75 and 77 long box Toyotas on my Uncles farm. He added helper springs and we would haul 2,400 to 2,600 lbs to town 20 miles away of goods. Man they got thrashed hard. Lasted soooo long. Rust finally put them under. So much respect for these units. My cousin even rolled the '75 in the ditch and we used it for years....haha . I cherish those good days in my life.

Another great adventure , seeing those because coming back to life after being abandoned for so many years make you feel good . People in this country sometimes have no value on anything and just let it sit right . So when you go and find the things in the middle of nowhere in the rescued it just makes you feel good . At mom-and-pop restaurant look good as well . All I can say is you living the dream

My first car in 1988 was my Dads 1978 2L Toyota Cressida Wagon (purchased new). I let it go with 220,000 miles on the clock. It only failed to start once in all that time. Rust got the better of it after a poor repair in its life when it was involved in an accident.

I have been into cars/trucks since I was about 13 years old (43 now) and I have never seen a Toyota Dually. What a cool little truck. Would be an awesome truck to restore.

My first vehicle was a '79 Toyota Pickup. put over 200K miles on the R20 engine before i threw a rod in downtown Dallas. Switched it out with a 22R from a Celica with a 5-Speed tranny. Lets just say it would fly. Still have a ticket from Oklahoma showing it was clocked at 96. Would love to find one of those still running. There was very little it couldn't do or go through.

I learned to drive by taking Pastor’s dually Toyota out after dark on the weekends. I borrowed it not stole it so pretty sure my soul is intact. That was 25 years ago now, wonder if he kept it running or in the garage. In Kentucky somewhere probably. He had a hanger full of Random cars and trucks. Stick shift. And it was surprisingly quick or it felt quick for a 16 year old anyway.

I was just thinking that TripAdvisor or your channel should have an alert when I am traveling to let me know where favorite restaurants are. when I travel I forget that I drive right by that place heading between St. Louis and Memphis. Last week I was in Kansas and I tried to go out of my way for a small town restaurant you visited a few months back but I just didn’t have time.

There's no way to bend a 40' across a two lane road with no shoulder into a gate with posts with a CrewCab truck...saying 'no' saved an hour of fooling around, a possible car wreck on the road and probably damage to the truck or trailer trying to wind it back I there. I've got an 83 Toyota 4x4 that was my grandfather's and it has the R20 moter in it and it dosent matter how long it sits it always fires right up on the first turn of the key I know my grandfather has put it through hell my dad to and I've put it through the same and it still runs like a sewing machine its unreal how it still runs so nice.

There is one in Hickman County, TN. ......somewhere and there is also one with a flatbed on it that has big wheels and tires ( like an F-350 Ford )

Try some fix a flat and it might help the 20 year old tires to hold air long enough to trailer. It needs the wheel to rotate to seal but would be a cheap fix and worth it the few times it worked.

The owner said there were not many of those Toyota dually trucks but they were not too uncommon to see in the late 70's and early 80's.........was not everyday but I saw them where I live.....I don't think I have ever seen an extended cab though.

Sad thing is there was one of those Toyota chucks in Josephine just down the street from you Only 88000 on it Runs and drives great what the 22 r In general It's the blue interior Now it's on its way to Bolivia Used to drive by your shop every day It's not as rare as you think go to Mexico they're everywhere In South America

i remember a company in Houston tx that converted toyota pickups into a dually, and the extra cab part looks like something i used to see in the 80s that you could buy for your truck. great video but would like to know more about the truck

I'm a ford guy til I die but that Toyota is sweet!!! I've had an eye out to see what the price of a 76 olds 442 with a 455 big block because my dad had one for his first car and less than 1000 of them where made that year which makes it 1000 times harder to find one
