Definitely is. The price tags is just SLIGHTLY out of my range though 😂. People don’t understand… you buy one, it doubles in value in 5 years. It’s an investment.
Man if i was ford id pay you heavy for everything youve done so far for ford you got a big fanbase of young and older ford people watching and following you bring business to the company bro 💯 what a life bro💪🏿💪🏿🐎✌🏿👌🏿
You don't have to win the lottery to own that just like anything it's a car if you want it work hard focus on it and it will come true believe me am a true believer because it has always come true for me
This GTD is a monster and an eye catcher... I'm still waiting for Ford to make the mid-engine Stang, but what they did moving it down and back some was smart
I love the GTD, I was taken aback by the 300k price tag at first, but after seeing all the radical engineering and design changes they made to it, it's grown on me. I now view it as a dream car that I want to work towards owning. My only complaint is I wished they revealed it a little later. Unless ford has something reallt special cooked up for the mustang's 60th anniversary in April, I feel like this car will make any future mustang reveals look like weak sauce by comparison.
Last time I checked, Ford was also leading in their class. I'm not watching the race live, just looking at position tracking. So maybe it's because they haven't pitted yet and others have or something. But it's looking promising so far.
@@themidnighttavern6784 the 64 seems to be running the best so far in the GTD Pro group. Usually running top 5 in group, or better. The 64 2 or 3 spots behind. The 55 in the GTD class( and independent entry) is usually top 10 so far. The night is young.
@@bobuncle8704 This is odd, it seems like in the later stages of the race, they're some of the only GTD cars that haven't been involved in a crash, or who haven't had severe issues. Yet they're still struggling to run near the top these last few hours. It sounds like you're actually watching the race, what's going on? Do they just not have the pace or is it something else?
@@themidnighttavern6784 BOP as usual had done it's job. The Mustang had incredible straightline speed on the bank in the early test stages, people literslly refered to it as a monster. So BOP restrictions took it all away, so when qualifying the Mustang barely managed to set a decent lap, it was losing 1 second every lap to the best lap times on the grid. So it was falling off pace, seems like they didn't change that for the official race so Ford, while not having any issues and having a solid reliable and sustaining car, couldn't make any meaningful moves to reach the top. It's a perfect endurance car, but it's not gonna win if they keep it restricted like that.
@@leofhr2966 the BOP is indeed the downfall of the Ford cars. The 64 was the class of the 3 Mustangs there. If you look at best lap times, it was about 1.5 seconds slower than the leaders. Theatre leaves only the corners for passing. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the season goes. BOP has no solid criteria, just what the IMSA sanctioning body says. Before the restrictions were applied, the car was looking to be the top of the class. But, this was to be expected. This is exactly what history shows is done in these situations. I’m mighty proud of what the guys achieved with their hands tied behind their backs.
Excellent video discussing the new GT3 Mustang. Before the Rolex 24 race. IMSA made the BOP adjustments on the Mustang GT3 reducing it's speed which was likely from the Daytona Roar win. BOP was a major reason Ford dropped out of IMSA racing with the Ford GT. Watching lap times. After the BOP changes the Mustang GT3 was turning laps slower than many of the other top competitors likely keeping them from a Podium finish. For it's first race. Finishing the Rolex 24 at Daytona is a hugh accomplishment showing that Ford built a fantastic GT3 Mustang that shares parts from the Gen 4 Coyote found in the 2024 S650, But not the win they wanted. Now they'll have to fiqure out how to obtain more speed after the BOP changes. Great questions Stangmode regarding the new fantastic GT3 Mustang. FYI. Avg horsepower allowed in GTD Pro (GT3) is 500 to 600 horsepower depending on vehicle weight and if course BOP.
Well said! I cannot believe how small those intake restrictors are, how can that be fair? It means this car is a monster of power & balance, probably pushing over 600 HP with those twin throttle bodies❤️ Lets hope Ford pushes back on this for WEC at LeMans.
Stangmode. It was great to meet you. As a Corvette owner and fan I am very impressed with that Mustang GTD. As I said before that car is on another level. Just a big step up for Ford. Awesome car!!!
The 2020 GT500 stock block, crank, GT350 heads, with different Pistons, rings, sleeve, cams and valves can make almost 3000 whp, look at Brett LaSalle's
@@reggiecam9134 The engine used in the GTD isn't the Predator found in the previous GT500. The 5 2 GTD engine is a new purpose built engine. Mustang GTD utilizes a purpose-developed supercharged 5.2-liter V8 with dual air inlets and the first dry-sump engine oil system fitted to a roadgoing Mustang to help keep the engine lubricated during sustained and demanding cornering. The engine’s more than 7,500 rpm redline generates exceptional notes through the available titanium active valve exhaust system. It’s the highest horsepower street-legal Mustang ever developed by Ford.
❤😂😢😮😅😊 bro where are you been? I haven’t heard from you for a while for the Mr. mode Mustang. Take care bro. Have a good day and I’m gonna finish watching your video. You do very good work. Take care brother. Have a good weekend and a good week peace.
Really enjoyed hearing from the top folks involved in development. Interestingly the trunk lid on the gt3 cars has the dark horse badge. So when Chris said it has heavy overlap, he must mean with the somewhat specialized dark horse drivetrain. I wonder what dark horse specific parts would be worth putting into a wild NA build for an s550.
StangMode Awesome Video I think it's awesome that Ford put so much into the all Mustang GT3 and I think it's awesome that ford is part of GT3 Racing and Happy Birthday I hope you had a great day with your family and friends
Were you asked to take down the newer video? I watched it yesterday and I liked some of the details that the body and chassis designer was going into… seemed like more detail than we’ve heard before. I wanted to watch it again this morning and it’s gone?
Kudos to Larry Holt and his Markham, Canada built GTD. As a proud Mustang owner l love the heritage of The brands racing history. Looking for historic results at Le Mans.
The Ford guy said it is only Direct Injection, does it still have the high pressure pump running off the passenger side cams, like a production Mustang GT?
Crazy putting 300k price tag on Amy kind of Mustangs. Shelby being around 70k to 90k is hair to high but I understand that because of the Legendary Shelby. But either that I just don't see it on this GTD.
❤😂😢😮😊 I’m jealous you are over at the race. I wish I was there with you bro I’ll be buying lunch and eating that good food that they have down there. Take care and have a good day.
Still curious about hp on the gt3. They have to tune as per race restrictions, but how many ponies? What kind of range? I read a 358 nascar motor has about 670 hp.
You represent Ford heavy. They really need to design a drag racing Mustang just for you because you put the Mustang on your back. They really need to create a Demon Killer for you Brother. Forreal THE DARK HORSE APOCALYPSE
This, and the 2025 Shelby Super Snake from Shelby American I call that The SSS. .... it sick AF love it !!!!!! OMG true stands the Mech E a nice car but nut a Mustang period......... The GTD ,and the The SSS Those are true Mustangs ....
No need for midengine because of the transaxel. I love Mustang sticking to Coyote motor and still compete at highest level. I will be buying 2 GTDs and 2 GTs to own history.
❤😂😢😮😅😊 Mr. mode. Do you want to hear something my sister’s husband is clowning on my Ford Mustang and yet he drives a Ford 150 pick up and he’s talking smack about Corvette beating Mustang it’s not over. I tell him wait till Mustang whips Corvettes ass. Take care brother. Have a good day at the track. If you come to the one in Monterey, let me know on the tax and I get tickets and the hook up with you and I buy lunch or dinner. If you go to Monterey my brother, take care.
I’m still waiting for the prices on a 2024 Mustang GT to drop so expensive! But I say Ford could have did better in the suspension and technology. 😢The Mustang is slow.
WTF I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF LISTENING TO LARRY EXPLAIN ABOUT THE GTD THEN A FARMERS DOG AD BROKE IN/POPPED UP😠😡🤬👎👎AURRGH ERRGH WTF WAS THAT ALL ABOUT HMM..!!?? THAT SUCKED I'D HAVE RATHER HEARD ABOUT THE 'STANG GTD MORE SO
Nope... The wing is bouncing around spilling air on track. Ford math doesn't match the Germans....STILL. Buy a GT3R and copy it. Put blue oval on it. Then give customers what they pay for..... love @7:19
@@Raptor_5.0But I do wonder if we end up seeing a true mid-engine mustang some day. I find it odd this is the year of the mustang's 60th anniversary, and they didn't wait to reveal this car until then. Makes me wonder if there's other, even more special stuff in development that will be teased at that time.
Are you referring to the Daytona results? All new cars do poorly at Daytona. The ford GT did poorly at Daytona in its debut season. This is where they finish development. The Ford GT went on to win LeMans.
@@JerryCecco why? It isn’t allowed to run more than 750HP and is usually running around 550HP in most of the races. A stock Coyote with a supercharger reliably runs over 800HP. There’s built/sleeved ones that are making 2500+. You can buy any ‘21+, F-150 with a Coyote and put a supercharger on it, make 700HP and still get a 3 year warranty. Why is it so hard to believe this is 70% stock?? Why don’t you look up some other articles or videos about it? There are some that go into great depth about the machining they do to the block as well as the parts they added along with all the stock parts.
@@JerryCecco there is plenty of information out there about this engine. 70% of the parts are STOCK. Is it so hard to believe because your beloved Chevy or Dodge (whichever one you’re a fanboy of) needs to be 90-100% aftermarket parts, including the block? 😂😂😂
😡😡🤮🤮. Front end is ugly as fk. To me. My opinion. Look’s nothing like a Mustang. Will never get another new stand if they keep looking like that. Don’t see a Porsche 911 fking up they’re design. Still looks like it should. This is what happens when you let young people who have no appreciation of the history of the Mustang and did it up. Plus. Way too much tech. Just more to go wrong and charge you more to fix. Again. Just my opinion. Guess I’m too much of a purist.
