I'll never forget that original time I heard this in the movie and realised "Thats the theme song from Stuntman Ignition!" Good old childhood PS2 memories...
Ah stuntman ignition. When rewatching Tokyo drift the other night it hit me like a ton of bricks that this was the theme from the game. A PS2 game that is nostalgic with a dope song 😎
Stuntman ignition...An easily forgotten game. Most people had Grand Turismo, Need for Speed, or Grand Theft auto as their driving games when they were younger. Some of us had this game, creating a small generation of stunt drivers. It definitely shows when race, cause I try and string together drifts and turns. Trying to beat my friend's impossible lap times, I feel like I need to find the perfect car and revisit the roots of my driving technique. Stuntman Ignition.
"Every mangled mass of steel has a story to tell, a tale of speed, guts, talent, style. And a driver willing to risk it all to create Hollywood's greatest moments. Stuntman Ignition."
I feel like slowly walking out of my garage with a wrench in my hand and then face my car and look like a badass. And when I do, I'll have this song playing in the background
I restore vintage bicycles and it's exactly the same, one took me 6 years, I also have one I bought in 2008, which has gone backwards since I got it :/
Same here man. Just now I’ve seen slash did this from a comment on a different vid. Slash has been my god since I was little and to find out he played in my childhood game too, OMG
a song so epic it has no words nor needs any to describe it's awesome epic power...*puts on sunglasses and walks away from car explosion slowly to the song*
You know it's a shame, a lot of the music in tokyo drift is severely underrated, even thought it is awesome. This is just another one of those great songs along with "this is my mexico" and "neela drifts"
Actually, the events in Fast Five was taking place before the events in Tokyo Drift, so he did die. If you watch the ending of Tokyo Drift, Dom is saying that Han was family and that he won his car from Han, so that way, you find out how everything comes together. And as another youtuber pointed out, in the end of Fast Five Han says that Tokyo will have to wait.
All wrong what you said. Han wanted to move to Tokyo on the six fast and furious with Giselle but at the end Giselle didn’t make it and Han went to Tokyo himself. It’s between fast and furious six and 7 at seven dom went to Tokyo to get Han stuff, that’s where the end of Tokyo drift he appeared on his roadrunner muscle car
I can see Brian Tyler playing drums on this while Slash on guitar. They are so talented. Ty so much for this. It made my tuesday less boring 5-5-20 while I'm celebrating my girl Adele's born day. God bless
Just in case nobody knows were the name of the song came from,in the movie, they played this song when they fixed up the mustang to race DK.They replaced the engine with the Nissan engine that the main character wreaked when he first got to Japan.Nismo is the name of Nissan's tuning factory. And when you have a mustang with a Nismo build engine, you get "MUSTANG NISMO". Killer tune for a killer movie!
ich krieg echt gänsehaut wenn ich das lied höre...ich sags euch..wenn ihr driften könnt macht das richtig spaß....aber passt auf was ihr tut denn es ist echt nicht leicht!!
The car itself was a Silvia with a Skyline motor swap. Silvia S15's came with an SR20DET four cylinder. The RB26DETT is an inline six cylinder twin turbo. You were right other than the motor.
the mustang that he drove at the end of the movie was using the engine out of the wrecked nissan 240SX silvia that he wrecked in the first drift race. Nismo is nissan's high performance division. just like Ford has SVT, Mercedes has AMG and so on and so forth. so that is where you get mustang nismo.
Whether your working on your car of just cruising in a fast ride, this is the perfect song for any man/woman that thinks that they have got the stuff for it. (illegalRep Review$)
This song has the perfect name for Tokyo Drift because Sean's green Mustang Fastback at the end was fitted with the RB26 engine from a Nissan Skyline, hence the name Mustang Nismo.... for all of you that do not know, Nismo means 'Nissan Motorsport'
