The Mustang Classic is a first-of-its-kind English-only mustang competition hosted by Mustang Champions. From their website: "The goal of The Mustang Classic is to showcase the skill and adaptability of the American mustang and the talented trainers that work with them in the English discipline. The event will provide the public an opportunity to witness a mustang that has been given a foundation for success on its journey from government holding to private ownership." Today, I am picking up my Internet Adoption win! With him, I plan to compete in the Mustang Classic in September. I went with Elisa Wallace, I will be learning from her as I gentle and train my newest mustang. We also picked up her other working student Meghan's horse. I am really excited for my guy! He is a 7 year old gelding from Triple B, NV. I decided to name him Odyssey!

Haha I’m not sure I’d have the coordination if I really had to escape a pen, but who knows! I have had to scramble up to save my neck a few times and that always works 😂

I definitely feel for the mustangs I get in! it's a huge transition for them. so I try to make it as smooth and speedy as possible with my training so they can get right into enjoying domestic life :)

Which part are you curious about, the internet adoption or something else? The event we picked up from actually didn’t have an auction, was first-come-first-serve for mustangs that weren’t already bought on the internet adoption.

My heart breaks for them they must be so traumatised from loosing their family bands and everything they've ever known 😢

It is a hard process yes but the mustangs I gentle are very happy in their forever homes where they’ll never have to starve to death and they receive regular vet and farrier care and al their needs met, I have picked up horses that would have starved to death in the wild if they were not gathered because their herd had no grass left and horrible range conditions, and now they are absolutely thriving and love their new life, they have new herds and friends and love getting fed everyday. Some of them don’t even have jobs, they just get loved on
