Common knowledge for those who like information, do research and seek for more than one source of information. Try Roger Mais his books for example to know more about the real origin of Rasta. Also interesting: lots of Surinam language (sranang) are like patois. Nyang/ nyam etc. Also interesting is the fact Selassie neglected his own people. Another fact: the way islam was (and still is) spread over Africa. Maryse Conde, anather interesting author. And so on...

Pedro Alonso Nino was the Blackman you never hear about, who piloted the Santa Maria when Columbus so-called "discovered the new world". There's plenty of paintings of him if u Google...sum paintings make him look like a Whiteman or lightskin, but the majority of the paintings I've seen it's clearly a Blackman.
