Mutable Instruments Ambika soundscape - Mars awaits 

I have played many hybrid synthesizers. Prophet 12, 3rd wave, DW-8000, ESQ-1, Poly Evolver, Pro-2, maybe others? And I always come to this conclusion. The Ambika sticks out as my favorite. At least, in terms of sound. In terms of UI, P12 wins. In terms of build quality, Poly Evolver wins (minus the encoder issues). DW-8000 does indeed have the most interesting filter IMO. They're all fun, very different... but the Ambika just has the best envelopes, great filters, awesome modulation capacity - and I'm always left feeling like this is an amazing synthesizer.
