Again, love the cover! Strange how sick Barnaby sounds though, since all I know right now is that the vocals are from someone in Dora (never pressed the link sorry :( ). Red still stands as my favorite lore character, especially with his ridiculously smooth vocals! Such a nice reunion! This part is for Nerdiboy, the other scriptwriter (that I know of because it's pinned for how damn good it is) in this comment section. I just want to say to you (if you are seeing this in the first place. 99.99% is that you're not.), that your interpretation of the cutscene is PERFECT! Barnaby's parts give a very good resemblance of the character itself, especially with the accent parts. Julie: I don't think so. Barnaby: My mother's a chicken! Julie: BARNABY! TH-THAT'S SO RUDE! Barnaby: But it's true... Frank: Sometimes you have to lie if the truth hurts. Barnaby: But...but... Red: N-NOT TRYING TO CREATE AN ARGUMENT OR ANYTHING. I'm just saying...I just thought perhaps you like to sing? Your friend Wally seems to enjoy it. Wally: YOU ARE GOING TO HELL, PIPSQUEAK! You're a good person, Barnaby, and that's enough. Barnaby: (turns away silently) Red: (sympathetic and desperate for a comfortable conversation) Here. (pulls out radio) This is one of the random stuff I got- Barnaby: -from the meat guy? (chuckles softly) Red: (also laughs) Yeah. So I just thought if, you don't mind, we could have a short serenade. Don't worry (seeing Barnaby's worry), I'm no good at it either. We're in this together, alright? Barnaby: (ponders for a moment. Then smiles gingerly.) Okay. I'll give it a shot. Red: I knew you could do it! (After the song, Red is fiddling his fingers nervously, thinking whether or not he made the right choice.) Red: See, that wasn't so bad! (laughs nervously) Barnaby: ... Red: Uhm, are you okay? Barnaby: ... Red: Listen, I'm sorry if I-ARGH! (Barnaby had thrown his arms around Red and was sobbing happily) Red: Uh...I... Barnaby: Thank you! Thank you so much! Red: (clearly confused but relieved) Oh, I'm glad to help you! I didn't want to see you miserable. (Barnaby releases Red, smiles in an embarrassed kind of way, and pecks him on the cheek. Red, blushing, is about to return it when Julie comes in from the kitchen.) Julie: Hey, uh guys? We have a problem here. Red and Barnaby: What happened? Julie: Duck may or may not have made Frank hysterical and now he's weeping on the ground. Barnaby: Duck or Frank is weeping on the ground? Duck: (walks in) Guess. Red: Duck, what did you do? Duck: I may or may not have killed someone. Red and Barnaby: WHAT?! Julie: He stepped on a butterfly. Red: Typical. Barnaby: That kind of explains why Frank is so sad... Red: Why is that? Barnaby: He kind of has this obsession with butterflies. It's sweet to see him holding one, since Frank isn't that sweet with really anything else. Don't tell him I said that! Red: Oh, okay. (Silence between the two and Julie when they hear Duck say 'HEY!'. Then there are muffled sounds of seemingly Yellow and Wally talking.) Barnaby: I think they finished. Red: I'm gonna go check. (walks to kitchen door) Wally: THAT DOESN'T MAKE ANY BIOLOGICAL SENSE! Yellow: DO YOU THINK ANYTHING MAKES SENSE IN THIS BLASTED WORLD?! Red: Ah, so you are finally- Yellow and Wally: SHUT UP! Well, based on Welcome Home lore, it says that Barnaby's an orphan and got adopted by Mrs. Beagle (who is a chicken, and that's what Barnaby meant). It also says that Barnaby's biological parents either died or abandoned him. So Julie and Frank thought that Barnaby was saying that his BIOLOGICAL mother was a chicken, therefore a coward. And that was why Julie and Frank said it was rude and hurting. This probably makes no sense, but this is a literal alternate dimension called DHMIS X Welcome Home so give me the benefit of the doubt here please. Oh wow, I wrote an entire essay. {WRITING NOTE: While Red Guy retains his English accent, I don't know what Barnaby would sound like himself; looking at the source material, before the website went down in May, due to the sheer number of folks visiting it, his bio claims he had a wisecracking, smart-alecky nature, not necessarily 'grumpy' like Larry, but more of a clown, a joke-teller, and generally friendly, if a bit more brash, quick-witted, and sarcastic; this led to me visualizing him as having something akin to a Bronx accent or Joisey Accent or Pittsburgh dialect, something reminiscent of Bugs Bunny or Sans, the latter sometimes being voiced that way, because voicing him as his vocal grunts sound, like Patrick Star from Spongebob, unintentionally makes him come across as sounding 'dumb,' which Sans, a lover of puns and teasing his brother with his jokes and trombone, as well as one of the few characters that seems to have an idea about the true nature of the world around him, DEFINITELY is NOT; also, sorry in advance for the odd spaces in the script, that's just a result of me editing the comment; when I'm in editing mode, I try to make the words line up in a less awkward way... well, they _seem_ that way to me in editing... but then they come out looking wrong when I post it, so I'm guessing that the posted/ saved comment has a wider border than it appears to in editing, hope that explains why} Red Guy: "Do you ever get the feeling..." I always have liked the idea that the DHMIS trio is like my family, in which I live in a neighborhood with multiple nuclear families around my house. They're all picture pefect with sportsy, straight A kids and parents who are also the same. My family is the kind that when you look around the neighborhood and see our house, it's literally on fire, my little brother and I are actively fighting, my mom is trying to stop us and my dad just sitting on the porch, sick of all our shit. That's the kind of family I imagine the DHMIS trio is like to everyone in the Welcome Home neighborhood.

The next one HAS to be duck guy and Frank. A detail you should add is duck guy swatting a butterfly that's flying around him and Frank, making Frank irriated by duck guy's action. The song, at least in my opinion, should be Borderless from vs Scott the Woz.
