initially, i hated that mistress. But eventually, i started to feel her pain as well.

I think the moral of her story was, even if you give your child everything: loving family, wealth, good genes etc., if you keep them sheltered, saying to them that they can have everything they want (her mom even defended her actions of being a mistress, saying Tae-Oh's family is already broken down) does not a guarantee someone to be a good person. In the original English series, the mistress was already a slut (as claimed by her younger brother who is absent in the Korean drama) who is unlucky with love and slept with many men to feel the love after being unlucky with many men, so she decided to pursue a realtionship with a married man. The mistress in the English series also has beauty, wealth and loving supportive parents but still she decided to hurt other people. Seeing it as her duty to "save the man from his marriage" . what a joke. I have no sympathy for this woman and other people like her whatsoever. All she has is greed. What she wants is what she gets regardless if other people get hurt.

@@Jay-wm8fy I don’t agree a broken trust and betrayal is the death of a relationship no matter what you choose to agree the remorse and uneasiness will always stay with you. A person who cheats on you doesn’t really love you at least not more than his/her desire are you really willing to spend your life with someone who is willing to break your heart and hurt you form something so vile and temporary. Theirs no cure to selfishness.

She really deserves an award, her acting on than part was really on point it was as if the the character she portrayed was real.

He is handsome and charming. He tells her great things and he’s fun to be with. He also desires her obviously and they seem to have had a good sex life. Why wouldn’t she be with him?

@@lina_adventures how come you won’t be involved with your loved one cheating you? A 45+ year old woman, your life long partner chooses someone younger and more beautiful than you. Can you even imagine what kind of an impact that would do to a woman’s self esteem? Who cares about finances when you still love him? The son was such a thoughtless and selfish brat I wanted to smack him so many times.

@@lina_adventures maybe from a male perspective, what would the woman have felt didn’t affect you, maybe that’s the reason you couldn’t relate. But in the drama, she has got everything and then suddenly they all come crashing down. I also like that it’s kinda a revenge story. He cheats on her and tries to build a better version of his life over her sorrow, but her smarts and karma gets him. I like the woman character for being strong, putting up a fight and ruining his life in the end. I relate to her because I went through something similar in a way.

@@lina_adventures wow I had really thought you were a male :) Then please don’t mind me asking how old you are :) Maybe you have closed that chapter in your life and realised it doesn’t serve anyone to take revenge, but in the drama after he leaves the woman tries to move on but he comes back and bothers her. I think a part of him still loves her and regrets. I also love that dynamic towards the end. When he loses all and she hugs him, still in fact loving him, but had to do what she does. That was my experience. I had to lock my lover behind bars myself. I loved him with all my heart but I had to do it..

The behavior of the son is acceptable for the earlier happenings. But as he grows up, he should've also become matured enough to see his mother's pain. Even though he is not yet old enough to truly understand what is happening, how and why it happened, and who really should he side to, he is still at the age where he should already be aware of his mother's pain at least and sympathize with her. The lack of sympathy and empathy from the son makes his character dull, unrealistic, and unable to level with the other characters' in depth characterization. His character (and acting perhaps) makes it difficult for the viewers to like him.
