배경지식으로 염두에 둘 메타포와 오브제: Absinthe(압생트)는 불어로 “고통, 고난, 술 이름, 쓴 쑥”의 뜻. 제목을 보면 고통과 고난에 살고 있었음을 암시한 것 같네요. 제 개인적인 해석으로는 엘레베이터=한국 힙합씬. 처음 나오는 사람들과 그 이후 옷만 바꿔서 다시 온 사람들= 감각 하나 믿고 시장 고객 바꾼 파렴치들 (XXX의 곡 told you에서 발췌) / 중간에 나온 Death penalty 종이(사형)를 마지막에 뿌리는 모습으로 미루어 보아 펀치에게 그들은 사형 당하려고 왔다= 한국힙합씬 파렴치들이 지들끼리 쳐싸우다 나한테 죽으러 왔다는 식으로 해석됩니다. CCTV= 그런 상황을 지켜보는 매체가 되겠네요. 엘레베이터를 타고 올라가는 모습= 펀치는 높은 위치(아마 실력)에 있다는 걸 보여줍니다. 영상 처음과 끝에 나오는 검은 사람= 조력자(작곡가 혹은 펀치의 조력자인듯합니다) 처음부터 해석하자면 엘레베이터 안에서 신분증 한 번 꺼내진 일로 예상외로 과격한 대응을 했죠. 이내 모든 사람이 주먹다짐을 했고요. 이건 한국 힙합씬의 고질적 문제인 디스로 이슈만들고 그 이슈로 다 같이 싸우는 모습을 보여줍니다. 그 이후 다시 옷만 바꿔서 오는데 앞서 언급한 파렴치들이 엘레베이터 안에서 다시 싸우고 결국 펀치에게까지 옵니다. 이건 펀치에게 도전장을 내밀듯 앞다퉈 오죠. 그러나 판치 본인은 그런 일들에 제목처럼 고통을 느꼈었나봅니다. 그런 모습들을 엘레베이터 CCTV로 지켜보면서 죽일 준비를 했었고 실력도 없는 파렴치들은 지가 잘난 줄 알고 올라왔다가 죽음을 맞이합니다. 이게 펀치가 정말 파렴치들을 디스로 조지겠다는 의미일지 아니면 실력으로 파렴치들을 갈아엎겠다는 의미일지 확신은 못하겠습니다만 제 생각엔 후자인 것 같습니다. 다양한 의견 달아주시면 감사하겠습니다.
