Half and half. In the original games his dad Sparda was a demon and his mom was human, making him half human and half demon. In the new DmC devil may cry, he was half angel(from his mom) and half demon (his dad) making him a Nephilim

@@sniffyfire4601Dante is half demon, half human. And for some reason fully demon seem to be weaker than half demon half human. Especially the question why demon need human blood and why human blood make demon so strong

You gotta learn. Dante is probably the best character in the game because of how many combos you can string with him. Hardest to master but once you do you'll stage the best KOs you never thought possible.

@@Netherwolf6100 he's my favorite character already because of how good he is plus I love all his other games but I just can't get the combos right for some reason, I do what it asks but It just never works

@@michaelshwartz4300 It is not very difficult since a special movement is based on a movement pattern, followed by an action one, you just have to change the action command, it sounds complicated, I will give you an example that I use in playstation, a special one would be down, diagonal bottom right and right followed by square, and to make it different, you just have to change the last command (square for circle for example), it will be difficult, but hopefully and serve a little at least

I can't remember exactly, it's been over a decade lol But there's a setting that makes the game play character themes instead of stage music in the options (there will be a tooltip for it) Once you set it to play character theme, a character has to be knocked out and Dante has to tag in for it to start playing his theme. As for @ the start of the battle I don't know the conditions off the top of my head, maybe he just has to be the starting opponent/Player2.

And even with that simplicity, he can destroy your ass.

I think the end of it is pretty amazing. You get shot back into a big ass air-hike plate so that you take more damage.
