I was a journalist at the ABC affiliate in Tucson when she died. When I tried to find out what led to her death, the university pushed to have the story shut down. Local medical officials and media were all too happy to join in that effort.
Because I was raising a daughter and didn't trust these doctors, I let the story go. But I never stopped thinking about Polkey.
