MVTV was on location today at Capo Valley High School for an emotional reenactment of a DUI crash. 

I think this a good idea to help teens really understand the impact drunk driving has on everyone

Oh how this breaks my heart!! My daughter from another mother passed from her boyfriend drunk driving. Her mother died when she was young and i took her under my wingsand into my heart when she was young. 14 blessed years having her in my life. She was 7 months pregnant. She died and her baby clung to life for close to 3 months. He then passed. I still am devastated and heartbroken. Holidays hurt as we were always together as if she was my own. Her boyfriend is in jail fortunately. His family deepened the wounds by going on facebook and trash talking her and that she deserved this. Horrendous!!! A wonderful young lady with a bright future. That man took away her future, her babys future and their loved ones future( me her dad and her friends.). My heart still aches 3 years later!! Especially with holidays coming up. No more " i love you mom" no more of us cooking together, and no more of her beautiful smileand hugs!! I hope that if anyone sees this video and also reads this that they think twice. Not only for themselves but also for the innocent who are senselessly taken too soon!! I love you my sweet nessa and baby van!! The heart never forgets!!

I think this should be shown in all drivers training classes

I did this at the high school where I went to school....made a lot people upset.. cause no one knew that it was going to be done.... teacher's and student's really upset...we got our point across tho...

My uncle died in a car accident from a drunk driver.. this honestly made me cry and it’s sad how many people don’t understand the outcome from drunk driving. I’m glad that you guys are spreading this message.

im in tears writting this.hears a story of how i got ptsd and depression. so me and my bf and a few of my closest friends were coming back from a party.i was about 18 at the time and on the way home, a drunk van driver changed lane without indercating and crashed right into us, sending us over the crash barier.when my parents showed up, the was about 3 body bags,and me and 4 people were all lying there helplesly barley conscious,i now a prostetic arm as a glass shard went straigt threw my arm. Later that month, i ottended 3 funerals. i never saw my best friend or my bf again...rip....

Who ever has to witness this in life will never be the same. My brother die in a car crash. When i arrive on site I ran through the police I saw my brother burned, crushed and bloody. I wish I would have never saw him. I'm so traumatized I have nightmares.

My cousin had two baby brothers. They were killed in a drunk driving accident before I was born. They were young. Maybe 5 and 3? My cousin is an adult now. She has sworn off drinking and I have done the same. I refuse to let my poor decisions affect lives.

The first time I seen this, I didn't think it was real, but I seen everybody was crying, and you just remembered my dad's mom or grandma that died, and it's making me tear up really bad, and I just feel so bad for the people who lost somebody, and it's really emotional for them. 😢😢😢

This reminds me of an accident I had several years ago when I was hit by a speeding motorbike while I was crossing the road with my husband and my little girl. The driver was a teenager who borrowed that motorbike from his friend and doesn't have a driving license. My daughter has bruises on her hands and legs. Her wrists also entangled in the motorbike chain. If the motorbike goes a little faster, maybe my child could die because the veins in her wrist were cut, or it possibly make her disabled for life. Meanwhile I was unconscious because my head hit the road very hard. Several of my teeth were broken. My left shoulder is dislocated. My hands and legs are injured and bruised. I'm grateful for the MRI results which show that no bones in my head are cracked or broken. And I don't have a brain concussion. Even though I still have to undergo observation for some time and my left shoulder still hurts to this day. *But the most shocking thing is that accident happened while I don't even know that I was on my 1.5 months of pregnancy*

The whole world should have this kind of awareness.

I lost my best friend to drinking and driving at the age of 18 back on New Year’s 2005. Almost 20 years later, and I still miss her and think about her every day. Thanks for doing these reenactments bc no one believes it could happen to them, and it can. Now there are so many other modes of transportation than when I was younger, or make sure to have a designated driver!

My HS did this back in 2007 senior year before prom night. 😢 it was really emotional and a wake up call for us. Thank God we all had a beautiful prom night and we were all in graduation day.

My baby brother died in a vehicle accident just on the 8th of April and he was standing on the shoulder waiting on transportation to go to work, he died on impact and that hurts me so much i still can't believe it i feel so empty without him. Our school did one too. It was tramatizing AF. They had the drunk reenacters with a mom reenactor that lost her child in the crash and the mom was hella too real with her scream 😩😩 guess who still has a perfect driving record?

Got into a wreck on my way home, was in the fast lane next to the carpool lane and had my cruise control on. Guy in front of me was two car lengths ahead and kept speeding up and slowing down. The gap kept changing from 2 car lengths to 4-ish then all of a sudden he slammed on his brakes and I tried to do the same and evade into the middle lane which had been empty when I glanced. The far right lane had a gold suv that decided to merge at that time. He noticed that I was merging too and hit his brakes to brake check me. I was already on the brakes and could not avoid the second car. I plowed into the back of the suv at about 38mph according to my Jeep’s computer. My seat ripped up from the floor and threw me into the windshield which cracked but didn’t break. Luckily I was unharmed, just concussed. My passenger side windows shattered. I waited to ensure traffic behind me would stop and then began to try and extricate myself. As a former firefighter I knew the car could catch fire at any moment and that getting the vehicle out of the way was imperative for the safety of those behind me. My door was jammed and I had to leverage myself against my center console to get the leverage needed to force the door open. I could only get about a foot of clearance. I got out and flagged a semi truck down. The driver understood and blocked the right two lanes (Lane 1, and an exit lane) and this allowed me to put my car in neutral and push it to the side of the road alone. I called 911 when I got the car parked and got a busy signal. I ended up walking myself home. The other driver left the scene and never once stopped. The next morning I called CHP who informed me no one else had called them. They declined a report and told me to go through my insurance who completely covered the accident and paid off my car. I was in a new-to-me (read as used) car 2 days after my accident.

They have done this every year I bet. I graduated in 2001 and remember this exact setup there. White car, bloody dead prom date, the screams (that was horrific). Kinda messed with me.

Take the advice you all, especially our younger generation. Don't learn the hard way. 😔

My mom was a part of one of these for training back in the early 80s. Glad they are still doing these to educate kids. We had a panel of the AIDS quilt come to our high school and I was familar as my mom worked with numerous aids patients and their families and it was incredible and heartbreaking..

It’s no joke. My boyfriend in high school crashed with his friends one night after drinking. He was ejected thru the window into a tree, and somehow survived, but the aftermath was awful and healing took months.

My dad passed away of drugs. He tried to get better for me whenever my mom got pregnant with me. This is gonna make me cry thinking about this, but I just hope my dad Homer rest in peace.😢😢😢😢😢 Tysm for the likes
