My Combo is MVVM + Clean Architecture, so clean and neat that makes it easy to return to the same project after years n still understand the mess.

Use clean architecture if the app is big. Mvvm should suffice on small to medium sized projects.

You can use either of those independently, using CA doesn't means you can't use MVVM, and it's not like you don't use MVVM in big projects
