I found that not much i cut need this if you have a good quality main blade. but I comes a standard on the WA6 so handy to have ..

Its so nice to finally own a sliding saw. but the track saw does work well and did me for years,..

Manor Wood yeah they do the trick for site work. I use makita gear tho

No. It should be a fraction thicker. I suggest you check an Altendorf manual.

@@jimpackard8059 Correct according to my Altendorf manual. I guess this is to help preserve the teeth on the main blade, probably helps with even wear on each side of the teeth on the main blade as laminate is tough stuff. The fraction wider will be so small, it will be unnoticed. I have heard mixed opinions about this topic, Joiners like to be exact so will want exact width as the blade. Just bought new scoring blades for my Altendorf so im here to see what others are thinking is best. 0.05mm further out from either side of the main blade sounds a good place to start.

@@TAYLORCRAFTWORKSRivertables Altendorf are the experts on this subject. There are many reasons for this scorer thickness, one major one being that the main blade is wider in cut once it revolves at speed. Hence the fact that the rip fence is not set square to the blade.

Good question,I am not sure I think its around 5mm Max.. but its just to brake the surface not to cut really ..

Main blade just about 130mm. with a large 400 blade fitted..

Manor Wood ive checked PDF Data From Altendorf they Type down 350 Blade 103 mm are you Sure a 400 Blade fits into this saw

You can fit a 400mm blade there is a small mod need but it very simple ...
