For the Shephard mission, I highly recommend bringing a level 3 blood hound with you, especially if you're doing solo run. The hellhound made this so much easier with taking out mercenaries as well as distracting zombies all while holding its own. If its going against disciples or getting swarmed by a horde of zombies make sure to help it out! The hound regenerates health on it's own when you're not fighting zombies. Also, it'll instantly revive you when its next to you. Hope this helps!
So we need 4 pieces of meat and a tier 3 doghouse to get the hounds that can actually revive you right? The orange zone dogs can't res, only the tier 3 dogs? I'm also going to bring in a sentry gun for the top of the escort vehicle. That way I can do crowd control while the sentry does its thing.
I solo'd this right after I watched this. PDSW 528 pack-a-punch tier 2. Crossbow with thermite for big boss pack-a-punch tier 1. Get perks like Jug, Stamina, Speed cola. I also placed a sentry gun on top of the tank you escort. Btw the P90 aka PDSW 528 when pack-a-punched the mag is 400 bullets so it shreds the zombies. Thanks for the vid it helped a lot 🙂
I'm actually glad I watched this first before attempting to the mission. I was going to go in blind and just wing it like I did with the final mission from Act 1 but I see now it's a lot more difficult than I would've thought. Thanks so much for the info and tips on this! You and me both! I changed some things though. Ran in with a dog and didn't use the stupid weapon he suggested. Put a sentry gun on the rover and not the roof. Few things different and I smoked it. Didn't use 1 revive
Just did it solo with pdsw 3pap and crossbow 2 pap , almost died in the end when pressing final button , want to thank you bro , you was my guide through dmz mission and now in zombies thank you and good luck !!
just ran this solo took an AR for mercs and akimbo WSP swarm pack level three and they melted everything including the mega bomb in seconds don't know why I was scared to run this solo this guide helped as well so I wasn't panicking looking for objectives
Just managed to complete this mission solo with the Pulem LMG PaP II and a longbow for the pesky snipers. The decoy grenades and your guide made this do-able but definitely got worried there toward the end. ACV was at 7 percent lol. Thanks!!
Just solo'd Shepherd after watching this video beforehand and I was almost over prepped... don't over think it! I was uber kitted but in hindsight I think it would have been a lot harder without the right perks. Kit I went in with --> All perks except Tombstone, Tier 3 Hound (died just before Mega part), Legendary PaP2 PDSW Napalm, Rare PaP2 RGL, 2 sentries, 2 turret circuits (only needed 1), 3 self rez (unused), 2 kasmir. Minimum viable kit for *EASY* solo IMO --> PERKS: Jug, Stam, Speed, Perception. KIT: Tier 3 hound (1 or 2 back-up rez), Epic or Rare PaP2 mobile / high cap mag primary for killing, PaP1 crowd control secondary for hordes on escort, 1 circuit board for rooftop, 1 sentry to put on the escort.

Just a heads up for those that are close to doing this, stop at tier 4 or 5 and avoid it till the next major update… once the exfil chopper that takes you to this mission is on the map, you can randomly be thrown into the mission if anyone else in the match starts it. Just had a solo rush to it and got put in with nothing but a grey longbow with one attachment. 🤦🏻♂️

Also do the act 3 missions start the next one when you complete the one your on? If not that’s even more reason for me to hold off progressing anymore till they fix stuff lol.
I didnt know what I was up against but I soloed this shit with pack a punch lvl 1 on an LMG, I kept killing zombies to get energy mines and abuse decoy grenades, I realized there was ammo deposits everywhere close so I kept tossing decoys, at the end when the big dude showed up I simply kept zombies away from the extract vehicle and ran in circles away from him, managed to get a bit of distance and ran in and pressed the button, luckily the mission ends there, holy moly it was chaotic but I got the job done!
First run through it brought me to the act 1 mission. Second run through, I went to the correct extraction but as soon as it loaded I was spectating in the air bc I was doing solo. Lost 2 times the loot it 25 mins😂 gonna give it a few days so I don’t punch a hole straight through my monitor..
Dr. Jensen was able to hear the voices even before the exclusion zone, it appears that she takes clozapine in the cutscene, which is a pill for schizophrenics, she probably told doctors she could hear voices (due to her exposure to aetherium) and was diagnosed as schizophrenic
I did this solo with a shotgun with slugs tier 3 pack and legendary rarity as well as a juggernaut and the acv got down to 40% so i definitely recommend having a friend or even just a random ti play with and also get a tier 3 dog which i completely forgot about. Another tip is when walking with the acv dont worry abt the mercenary just try to stand behind the acv so they wont hit you.
Lastly. How much harder is this mission than the act 1 story mission. Im curious because the act 1 story mission was super easy. Is this one drastically tougher to accomplish?
It's pretty dang hard. I'm a solo guy and I easily completed the last act 1 but I've failed 2 times so far on the last act 2 mission.. just pap every weapon and have self revives and possibly a jug
@@jojo3sixty I wasn't gonna do it. But the randoms in my squad fill had already done it. And they offered to go with. We were all pack 2 or 3. There was 5 of us. They brought 2 sentry guns for the top of escort vehicle (clutch). And I had a crossbow with thermite and nape which destroyed the mega at the end in seconds. It was super easy with the 5man team. I could see myself doing it solo tho. Now how bout act 3 mission? The worm!! I hear it's no joke.

I didn't think we were going to have to do a super long Easter egg just to have access to the new items. So are all the new items only inside the new dark rift, accessible after completing 4step Easter egg. Or is the flawless crystal and leg tool plans findable inside tier3 contracts? After we do the Easter egg, then we just need to do tier3 cons to get sigils to open dark rifts where we will find the "classified" items. Am I understanding this correctly? Also do we have to the bad signal part first? Or can we get the other 3 items then do the locked diary step last....?
I don't know how your game seemed so easy. I tried it solo yesterday and there were hundreds of zombies chasing the escort vehicle. I had a tier 3 weapon and I just couldn't kill them fast enough there were so many. I even had to throw a jug suit and I barely made it to the test site but died shortly after.
I just got this mission yesterday. So do u recommend at least a duo? Is solo viable if we have a 3 plate and circuits? I don't really know how to use discords, if any other solo players are looking for someone to run this with them. Lmk.
No I recommend more ppl, will make it easier, solo use 3 plate, self revive, sentry turrets on acv, decoy grenades and if you have a juggernaut killstreak even better, try bring it some turret circuit boards as well :)
@@IPossessThePowerYT I had a random squad offer to go with. They already did it. So we breezed thru. Someone brought 2 sentrys for top of escort. The 5of us crushed it. Crossbow thermite took the meg down in seconds. Now what would u recommend for story 3 mission? Meta weapons? Essential gear? I saw a video, That worm looks pretty burly.
I prepped and crafted all my perks and pap’d my gun with a deadbolt circuit ammo mod a jug suit literally super prepared to go at it solo… and I ended up going to the wrong extraction for the story mission 🥲. Wish I would have seen your video first. Another one I saw didn’t mention that point about the story exfils. That being said thanks for the guide!
I’ve been needing to do this mission for a while, but as someone who’s not very good at the game (I rarely leave tier 1), I’m too afraid to do it by myself. Maybe I’ll get brave soon 🤦🏻♀️ Update- Me and one of my friends braved it and we did it first time around! This video was such a big help!

I just got all caught up to be able to do the mission with my friend cause he was ahead of me and we got all prepped and grinded until it was time to exfil into the mission and it just automatically extracted me when i got on the helicopter instead of putting me in with him? Whats the problem?
Thanks for the guide. Really helped out. I was able to complete with 2 epic PAP2 weapons, one of them being the RGL. Also brought in a level 2 hellhound. 2 decoys and 2 blackhole grenades. 16% health on the vehicle. Edit: I did it solo
Big question guys! When you start this mission does the match timer reset to standard 45 minutes? Or is it a continuation of whatever time you have left from main zombie game?
I didn't watched your video so I used all my cans, legendary upgrades and everything possible to do the mission, but I've enter in the ACT 1 Story mission ! This Story Mission icons should have different colors like blue, purple and orange like the weapons power.
Just finished this Solo, I recommend have at least one self revive, monkey bombs and enough space for shield plates. It's posiible to do alone, I just wished I watched the video to the end. Than I'd known the big bad boy isn't attacking the vehicle. Finished it with 21% and was super proud on myself.
wow really couldn't imagine how annoying that must be especially for this kind of mission, im just assuming its another bug to add to the list brother not much can be done but trying again and fingers crossed it counts :(
When I went over to the extract with two randoms, the message to extract popped up but it wouldn’t let me. Why??? The two randoms I was with with on Act 1 story but I don’t think that mattered.

I very barely survived this mission, 13% health, i had orange tier pap 2 lmg. I could've used a better field upgrade (mine was frost from earlier in act 1 lol) i also came in with several self revives and some sentry turrets. That damn Abomination was an abomination, i got lasered hard. Now to do act 3 and get my wonder waffle dg2.
Got all the buffs and tier 3 weapon for this mission just for it to bug out at the end and not let me start the neutralizer. Love this game but these bugs are so annoying

All you really need is an ar/lmg packed to 3 with shatter blast, some perks, and a juggernaut for the big boss. Easy enough to do solo, provided you’re decently armed.
I wasnt able to activate the Activator at the End. There was 43 Health left and nothing happend when I wantet to start the Actiavator. Does anyone know what I did worng?
First time I did this the game glitched and we couldn't move while the abomination killed us both. Did it solo and died, did it again and the power went out. Hoping to finish it solo tomorrow with some turret killstreaks for The buy station

@@jammiedonut6934 i just did it and went to the story SOLO. I think you need to board it as soon as the chopper lands. It's very tough if you don't have teammates who dont cooperate. btw i died bc that mission is hard af solo if you dont bring strong gear.
When I activated the Neutralizer, it locked me in animation. I could not move, use my weapons, anything. When i went down, i SR'd, and regained use of my weapons, but still could not move. I really hope i'm not the only one that this happened. That glitch made me so angry that i nearly stopped playing zombies for the night, despite everything else going fine.
Okay so I had to self provides when I went into the mission and magically they disappeared because the first time I went down I couldn't revive myself I was eliminated the number to there were two extra sites and when I got on the plane it told me to expel Dr Jansen which I've already done that so how in the hell do I figure out what Expo to go to this game keeps getting dumber and dumber as time goes on
@mellamohazy same just completed the entire act 2 today thought I'd finished it no problem then it's bugged, so annoying, we can run it together tomorrow if you're up for it
I was halfway through act 2 and for some reason like 15 min into my match as im looking for mimics in tier 1, all of a sudden my screen goes dark and it exfilled me into the act 1 story mission... Never touched the exfil marker, wasnt even remotely close to it. Needless to say no perks or pack a punch since i thought i was doing tier 1, i died and lost everything
I tried this solo without any knowledge of it. That was a mistake I was single packed and the damn thing was 3 percent when the mega bomb showed up. Lost everything and was pisses.
I was casually playing then my teammates ended up exiling 2 minutes later it takes me to this mission while I was doing an Aether nest no where near the exfil for it
Ive tried this 2 or 3 times so far but i keep getting overwhelmed. Theres too much going on. I dont want to go with randoms as i dont wanna force people into this
@@aaronmullins6129 If you want to make this mission really easy, just bring a lv3 pack a punch weapon (legendary is better: you can get it easily from the weapons on the wall in the extreme level area) prepare yourself before extracting, take a lv3 armor + some regeneration in case you go down, and it will become really easy sorry for bad english
@@aaronmullins6129 Use deadbolt turrets when possible, monkey bombs or decoy grenade are key for helping keep the tank alive, a large ammo gun at least legendary rarity pap level 2, focus tank health above everything else as soon as thats destroyed its over, don't bother trying to kill megabomb at the end just keep tank alive, aether shroud is clutch when you have to much aggro or need to plate precision airstrke for when theres to much around the tank carry multiple self revives, good luck brother :)

Holy shit, I just got it done solo with a lvl II PaP blue Basp and even then it was insanely challenging with 11 armor plates. The neutralizer literally had 2% health by the time it was activatable and I made it just as I was about to go down. Definitely try to squad up before you attempt this solo, and bring lvl II PaPs.
This is impressive. My neutralizer did not survive with pap2. Lol. I had to try again and I came more prepared with pap3. It was very do able solo with pap3. Props to you.
