Not bad. Realistically you would shorten your sweeps to try to narrow it down though. I understand it's just a test though. Oh yeah, those broken headphones.....I literally just emailed White's about it and already got my new ones in the mail. I live on the other side of the country. Fast response time White's!!!! I love you guys! I'm trying to tell my sister to get rid of their Garrett's and get White's.

This was done to Monte's precise specifications. You're supposed to sweep the coil completely across the board for an accurate test - the ones online with other machines that use short sweeps are not accurate.

Thanks for putting the Sport through the paces with Monte's test. I didn't play around too much with it while I was in ID so it was interesting to see the differences in coil performance.

That is one extreme test. Unless you dig every broken signal, you won't get coinage. Even with standard coil, has good target seperation

I have the whites classic 3 with a blue max 9.5 on it and it kicks the crap outta my Garrett ace 350 with the stock dd. Ive been wanting to get the smallest coil that would work on my classic 3. I live in a beer cap and pull tab breeding ground lol. My wife would kill me if i spent the money to buy a nicer newer whites.

Try turning the volume up - we mounted a camera right on the detector to pick up the beeps

That's the reason white's Electronics is out of business. When Kenneth White Sr. was in charge they had excellent metal detectors, after that it was all down hill. I still have one of Whites detectors made in the early 1980's that hits the coin hard in every direction on Monte's nail board test. It's the Whites 5500D Series 3 metal detector. The MX sport is horrible at this test. I hate to see how White's Electronics lost track with technology. It was the best in its day with Kenneth White Sr.
