@@team6083 well.. they dont share the EXACT same motor the motor from the bike does have a few more hp. i think because they redesigned the motor for the quad for torque purpueses
I was curious about that...Imagine how fast he'd be and how far he could go if he had standard sized testes! His clothes must be custom made with an internal pocket to hold those suckers.
@@ToddleyProductions that's who I thought it was 4 wheelers don't get much attention compared to the bikes but I catch it on MAVTV these guys are bad ass.
Legit its incredible seeing battles like this. Hetrick is def holding back as well, and the bike has to check up at times! But man....what a sick video showing the speeds of some great ass riders!!! No lie, 2, 4...hell even 3 wheels can make a lifetime of excitement if it involves some dirt and jumps hahaha
I grew up racing Motocross when I turned 30 I built a TRX. For quadcross. Both are just as fun. But the guy in this video on the TRX can flat ass fly man. !!!!!
That's Joel Hetrick in the quad. That dude is one of or perhaps the fastest quad rider in the world! Multiple times ATV champ and world champ with team USA! In a hard pack, he is even faster.
Wow!! You guys are throwing it down! I'm around the 1:20 mark and just saw you guys both jump this crazy downhill! I've never seen a jump like that anywhere! I'm subscribing and looking you guys up! Not many quads and dirtbikes ride together like that awesome to see! It's really hard to make a pass on High speed tracks like that when you are going that fast and be safe about it! That's what makes a good rider to me the ability to go as fast as possible inches away from your opponent without wreaking them... anyone can go fast and bumper car there way to the front if there brave enough! I think a clean pass is like the honorable way to race!
Nice ride! Wonder how hard they were pushing? The pro atv guys have serious speed. I'd love to see them get more respect at the national level. Maybe some events where they run quads one day and the mx nationals the next.
I ride both on the motocross track. Quads are easier to control in and out of corners with varying terrain without a doubt. However that same quad has to carry more speed in and out of corners with more than twice the weight once you include the rider to compete or hold a lead with a skilled dirt bike rider. Requires the same skill and clutch/throttle control as a skilled dirt bike rider.
Just proves that a 400 lb quad can do what a 230 lb dirt bike can do just as fast or even faster I'm for both quads and dirt bike as I race both away me video
I raced quads and enjoyed this video. But it’s literally THE fastest pro quad rider vs an unknown rider on a 250 bike. Obviously bikes are faster and better designed for mx.
Normally I don’t like riding w quads but this guy shreds he ain’t a liability on the jumps that’s for sure and he takes the same line not tearing up the track for the bikes. Nothing but respect
I ride both and sleds. Can’t compare myself to either of guys. Rock one for quads which were big for a while but, just faded out like two strokes. Bring back the quad scene. I enjoyed the keep it up😎😎
Bike= Faster in a straight line. Quad= Faster in turns. But the HUGE downfall is that the bike needs ruts and the quad needs flat track to drift those corners with speed. End of the day, the real test is to have the same track, but one day is rutty and one day is flattened out. Then get the best lap times on the bike and quad with like a 10 lap average. Only other reason I can think that the bike would be faster is just the rider fatigue issue from the added weight of the quad. I Love both though as I grew up on both and will never choose one over the other! Mainly cause I just love Moto! And sport quads and dirt bikes are the only two serious machines in that respective riding style. (Owner of a '17 YFZ450R and 2015 YZ250F) Team Blue Allllllllll Day Babeeeeeeee!!🤘
First time i have ever seen Joel P.O.V. BEAST!!!! 3:34 He out jumps his shadow!! Wish his chain didn't snap last year...... can't wait to watch him this season!!!! I have only one more thing left to say.. LONGLIVETHEFOURTRAX250R!!! Would love to see him turn out some laps on one......
I believe Joel Hetrick is from around my area. he rides two wheels frequently and im a fan of his. i like quadcross, just not on the track with me cause they flatten out ruts lol
Holy shit, quad dude has balls of fucking steel. Crazy how he launches the jumps like its nothing. I remember when CMC had quads racing the same tracks on the same day as us dort bike racers. This dude on a YFZ450r was sending all the jumps at every track, and he was getting the props be deserved from the dirt bike riders. My only problem with quads being on the same track is how they blow out the berms and ruin ruts. Other than that, I don't mind quads being on the same track as me. Outside of riding tracks, I love quads and wish I had one. They are a different kind of fun compared to dirt bikes and have their own capabilities. I wish I had a banshee... it would go great with my YZ250
You shouldn't hate them. Fun as shit to ride and just as difficult to ride as bikes as well. It's just stupid to hate them given they don't do anything wrong.😑
My local MX track has a ban on quads lol! They used to have their own track there, but they lost it because they kept breaking the rules and going onto the bike track.
Is that Joel on the quad? Sucks quads don't get more coverage they're equally badass on a motorcross track and those guys absolutely send it, massive jumps and speed. Check out Joel Hectric, Thomas Brown, Parker Werwerker sorry if i spelled the last name wrong lol I've never actually typed it before.
I gotta admit I'm a quad hater, only because I'm the only person to do up keep on a sand track behind my house and quads destroy it and looks intentional. They ain't riding like this guy riding though this is nuts and fully respectable
The only problem with quads on the same track is that they destroy all the ruts, ruining lines for bikes to take in the corners, aswell as just how rough they make the track also. I love quads too and wish i had one but there should be a track separate from the main mx track at different places where its bikes and quads so the MXers dont get screwed out of good riding conditions. I might get a 2nd bike before a quad, but i want a quad too
Also idk why all these guys hate on Joel lol he would gap most of the people in these comments on a quad. I do get the hate towards most quad riders but the ones who actually race motocross are super fast and hit jumps on them that almost know one in the comments would hit on a quad.
250 vs 450, 2 wheels vs 4 wheels. The guy on the quad is riding well but someone needs to point out that homie on the bike is grinding getting power to that back wheel to keep up with that quad. It just way easier to ride quads hands down you cant argue with me I ride both. Power to the rear wheels is natural and both wheels are constantly soaking up a bump somewhere and using it for more traction and speed.
Quads are harder to ride in rhythm sections, whoops, and big jumps. There’s a reason why 450 dirt bikes are faster than quads on the track, it’s because they are better suited and easier to ride on the track. Not the other way around.
And ya they're way easier to ride!!!! (Sarcasm) But not faster then a dirt bike this guy was quad ama champ in 2017. Who was the guy on the bike with 200cc's less of an engine?
I raced a 450 quad at the age of 14, that shit ain't easy to control when you're going close to 40mph through whoops or rhythm sections.... More wheels equals more wobble equals more loss of control. Not to mention a quad has a solid 100+ extra pounds to it compared to a bike. I've also raced a 450 bike and they tear through whoops and rhythms like a hot knife through butter... Clearly you don't ride both the same way otherwise you'd either; A, not make this comment. Or B, would admit that bikes will still outperform quads in rhythms and whoops
