i was damn near in shock of how much lube that was damn. Arent they sluggish at that point ?? I only lightly lube the stem and even then i feel like 205 is a bit too thick of a lube. Breaking in helps, i tried mx browns 1mill broken in and it was legit heaven, same with blacks. Also when it comes to the MX2A, im using MX purples and trying to see if the lube will actually dispurse and do its thing, because i do like them stock, but ive heard they get better with time and use.
Lol the stems and rails are lightly lubed. You can use a lot of lube on the leaf and it won't matter. I like to lube my leaf like that because that's where a lot of scratch cones from in a lot of other switches and this method is just more consistent in reducing the scratch from there. But the sliders/rails are pretty scratchy of course. The syringe also saves a lot of time a lot of time. Definitely not sluggish at all
@@arpeykeys im just wondering if the lube will just end up pooling at the bottom of the switch, making it goopy sounding and feeling, but if that works for you its great! I generally just prefer to go light even on the leaf when needed. I really didnt bother with Cherry switches since the scratch is nice. Any other switch the scrach doesnt sound good.
@@sinnerairsoft8487thats actually an interesting point! I’ve heard of lube separating like that but never noticed it any of my switches. Hopefully its something that takes years to occur lol. I’ll be more careful to lube the lead a little less now
@@truongvuonghuy6760 205g0 is pretty standard. I don't think there's any point in using anything thinner since the switch is already so scratchy even with 205g0. Deskey films, or anything made of poron foam will make them sound a little fuller, but if you prefer clack then use tx films or films made with polycarbonate. and springs are purely preference. I like long springs or double stage springs in mine.
side note but how do you like the kelowna films? i was thinking of buying the same ones for my cherry switches since they're pretty cheap on aliexpress
I liked them! More so than the deskeys. Few years back everyone used deskeys because it made their switch deeper and thocky sounds were what everyone was going for. But the kelownas don’t do that as much which is nice
