MX5things DRL Harness Installation! 

I just installed the DRL harness this morning. I came up with an alternative to the styrofoam removal or cutting. I took an old solder iron, heated it up, pulled the carpet back and tucked it under the clutch peddle, located the bottom nut and used the hot iron to melt a groove thru styrofoam from the top, down to the nut. That took maybe 30 seconds and was way easier than removing the styrofoam and potentially breaking it of using a razor knife to cut away the styrofoam around the nut. The melting styrofoam gave off a little smoke and odor but that all dissipated in a minute or 2. I hope this helps someone with their installation.

For the manual drivers, getting the carpet around the clutch pedal is one of the larger pains around this install

Thanks for the install video! Only thing I would change, is near the end, you mention that the DRLs turn off when the main lights are off. Clarifying the DRLs stay on for normal daytime driving would be useful for viewers.

It looks a lot simpler (and safer) to break the styrofoam. I’d rather not fool with the accelerator assembly. Thanks, Tom

Dude that is hands down the best color I’ve ever seen on an ND Miata ever! Looks absolutely stunning! How did you get it done (for abt how much) and what’s the paint code lol. Or is it a wrap? I wanna get a MX-5 next year, and I’d love to get it done in that color eventually

Hello, tell me. Do you have a wiring diagram for connecting the DRLs themselves to the bumper. I have a 2016 car without them. Plans to deliver.

Question? I have a sport which has the normal drl. If I want to replace the housing with the led DRL's from a gt is it possible or a different plug? Thank you

Great video! Just got my MX5 and using DRL at night was my biggest wish...such cool lights! Kinda terrified to tackle this by myself. Hi, if the light switch is set for "Auto" will the DRL still on during day time and all light will came on during night time automatic ?

Everybody has a video on the harness but I cant not find a simple video on how to replace the bulb or even get to it.

So which LED is in the DRL? I think the OEM is a bulb, no?
