Links to everything I researched and used for this cabinet is in the description! Let me know if you have any questions and which cabinet you prefer (Rudsta vs. Baggebo) 💚
Been needing an affordable one for asap until I can find one to convert! But this is so cute! What would you suggest if I converted a curio/hutch/standing glass cabinet to greenhouse?
@@ohtheplacesyoullgrow I just got the Fabrikor wide and both sizes of their Akerbar greenhouses. I’m also tempted to get the tall Fabrikor make a Herpetarium in the next year 🤞🏾
Kid you not, I have this in box, sitting in my livingroom right now. Putting it together and I am so grateful for this video.I have a beautiful order, from Plantstory that you addicted me to, and all Alocasia. So many things from this video is going to make this easier. I'll put it on hold and get the items needed now. You literally saved me so much time and frustration. Thank you so very much. I prefer the secondary cabinet for my plant room. Can't wait for Hubby to come home and let him know I found my Birthday gift! This one is going in to his office as he is enamored with the Allocasia. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi! If you look in the description I linked the shelves. They’re really sturdy and thick. I don’t know the exact weight. Maybe it says on the site but it’s MUCH sturdier than the glass ones that come with the cabinet.
So glad I looked for the "baggebo greenhouse cabinet" hack and I found you. You are the best. I have had this cabinet in the box for about 6 months. I now have time to contend with this since I retired from my day-job recently. I can now dedicate time to my indoor plants, artwork and garden! So good / excited 🌱🍃🪴 Thank you.
Grateful for this video and the amazon link! I'm an absolute beginner with plants and having this much cheaper option is great! $40 cabinet? Heck yes! I was going to jump straight to a milsbo tall but I had to reign myself in haha. Whenever I start something new I tend to get obsessed and over-do it really quickly. Thank you for showing me the way
@@ohtheplacesyoullgrow Lol! I think you're right :) I actually have plenty of land to build an actual outdoor greenhouse BUT it's Florida and hurricanes exist :/ Our fruit tree garden took a beating from one 2 years ago. :(
Niiiccceee ❤ Oh and the plastic asmr was a nice touch! Lol😂 Thanks again for the content. Definitely customizing my Ikea FABRIKÖR cabinet with those lights!👀
Do your grow lights use a lot of power? I was gonna buy one, but I found out how much watts it used 🤯 500 watts! With an LED bulb using only 10 watts! P.S. I absolutely loved the video! It was so informative and SO easy to understand! Thanks!
I’ve recently joined your channel and your videos bring me so much joy! I am planning on doing this greenhouse or the akerbar. I was wondering how did you installed the heating mat under the baggebo cabinet?
I think the screw driver you have actually has a phillips head on the other side of the flat head. If you pull really hard on that flat head tip you can switch between the two
Thats a motherlife 32" in the rudsta? Ive seen in a previous video you had two leds on the side, why did you change? How is going with this new one, isnt too strong? Thanks 😊
So my neighbor did it for me!! But someone messaged me on Instagram and said they struggled too and got a more powerful hole saw and it was easier: amzn.to/3TzcAHm
Oh gosh. I made a long form video on my RUDSTA where I showed painting it. Soooo labor intensive and just not worth it. Although Baggebo is WAY SMALLER.
@@ohtheplacesyoullgrow true u are so right it didn't . Is best best tho for the price compared to this one but u are right this is a good way to go also if you already have one 🥰
Hi! So my total is not really accurate because I actually used all leftover materials from another greenhouse build. The weatherstripping, grow lights, magnets, etc were all extra materials. On my Amazon storefront, I organized everything all into one list so you can see the individual cost breakdown
@@ohtheplacesyoullgrow I was thinking about getting the milsbo ikea one because I have a alocasia collection and they’re all doing great I have about 6 and I’d love to have them in a cabinet so they thrive even more
@@ohtheplacesyoullgrow I have an Alocasia Quilted Dreams and see a few of them sticking up out of the soil. I'm new to plants so I have a lot to learn. I think I'll make an ICU box to grow them lol. What do you use to edit to get the music in the videos?
Hi, you said you taped the heating mat; what type of tape did you use? How is the tape holding with the heat; would you suggest another method looking back?
I already bought the cabinet and have a few grow lights and fans. The only thing missing are the shelfs & pegboard. Why are a few pieces of plexiglass so expensive? That's insane to me! Does anyone know of anything less expensive I could use instead? This was a great video though! Thank you for sharing this & linking all the products. The links to your Amazon and Walmart storefront's are not working though, just fyi.
They are definitely an investment! They’re made by a small business in Northern California and when I learned about their whole design and production process, I honestly understand their prices. Thanks for letting me know about links! I fixed it 💚
I love this idea! Working on getting all the bits and pieces for it, but i was a bit curious about how the plugs are all tied in? I have been trying to visualize the layout, unsuccessfully.
They all feed through the hole in the bottom and are plugged into a smart strip that automates everything from an app! It’s all in my Amazon storefront in the description! I have the lights and the fans plugged in. Let me know if that makes sense
I put together this greenhouse! I'm completely in love with it, and it was so easy to follow along with your videos and purchase supplies via your Amazon list. Thank you for all the hard work you put into your videos!! 🪴💚
I have a baggebo cabinet and I followed your shorts as a guide to set it up. I love it so much but definitely considering a rudsta now because I have way too many plants and some are outgrowing my baggebo . 😂
Milsbo is HUGE and also the most expensive of the cabinets. I went with the Baggebo because it’s the most affordable and has a small footprint. The Rudsta I got because I like the modern straight legs and it’s cheaper and bigger than the Milsbo wide 🤌
So.. How come you put the corms in their own tiny greenhouses with 100% humidity but also into the greenhouse cabinet? The humidity from the cabinet probably isn't affecting them at all. Seems like a waste of space in the cabinet. No hate or anything just a question.
There’s a heat mat taped underneath the cabinet that helps the rooting process and once they outgrow their little cups they acclimate to the higher humidity in the cabinet 🙂
Homegirl you actually have a Red Anderson right there! Not a WPP ❤ WPPs have a light green stem with light pink striping. Red Andersons have full burgundy stems with white striping.
I didn’t watch thru the whole video yet but mystery alo at 2:20 looks like a frydek to me 🤔 As always, thanks for the glimpse in your life!! Wish we lived closer together. (Also, not the toilet in the middle of the living room 🤣 that’s gonna be me next week 🫣)
I don’t think it’s a frydek though!!!! I really think it’s your Polly???? You know what I need to do is go back and watch my OWN reels unboxing and see HAHAHAHAHAH
