Congratulations with the refrigerator. This is one way to remove rust from an refrigerator. Baking soda can be combined with equal parts of either water or lemon juice to create the perfect rust-busting solution. Then use a old toothbrush to scrub the rusted parts.

I usually combine baking soda and vinegar to get rid of rust and for cleaning the pots and pans' burnt butt as well. I hope it helps.
