C4, from my understanding, the gem is a representative that they are actually a star higher than they are rated. Example would be a 3 star gem is actually a 4 star player but rated 3 star. Red gem means if they are a 3 star but red gem out. They are really a 2 star player. Idk if that’s true. Just what Im being told.

Isn't exactly that way after many seasons of recruiting. Out of the box... A 4 star bust is still usually better than a regular 3 star. A gem 3 star might have a little better pure stats but wont have the abilities a 4 star has so even then a 4 star bust is arguably better than a 3 star gem. By year 4 the 3 star gem probably has a better dev trait and becomes better than the 4 star bust, but the normal 3 star isn't much better. TLDR the only downside of a bust over a star gem lower is the long term development.
