Great tone.... Love that percussive thing it has on the attack. Same story here - payed for undergrad playing guitar 5 nights a week and road work..... Now I have an "adult job," lol.
Holy Cow, I have the same Naylor Duel 60 and Bora-Bora Blue drop top classic as you. Been an Anderson player since 1992. Life-changing instruments. Happy Playing!
I just got my first TA, a drop top classic shorty mongrel. Two humbuckers and single coil. So sick. Now I have to get one more classic drop top in the S style like yours. 😀
Congrats! As someone who plays both a short and long scale Anderson daily, I can say you're definitely on the right path by getting a 25.5 scale Andy. Start saving $$. ;)
I have not. I do have a happy medium profile on my cobra and love it. ....but of course that's the shorter scale. I would imagine it feels just as good on the 25.5 scale. This drop top has the .05 thicker neck, which is pretty beefy. I honestly don't feel that much difference when I switch to the cobra - little thinner, little shorter. That's all.
Man it goes quickly. Awesome to hear you're in the same boat. My first one was a Cobra S from '99. I sold that one to fund an engagement ring. .....that was definitely the right move. :)
@@BenBreard I bought a Cobra a couple of years after my Drop Top purchase. I wasn’t able to fully bond with it and I sold it a couple of years ago. The Drop Top isn’t going anywhere 🤣
Congrats on getting an Anderson! I hope you love it as much as I like mine. I'm running straight into my Naylor Dual 60 with a little delay and verb in the loop. It's actually the best low (and high) volume amp I've ever had. That was recorded at wife-approved volume. :)
