its personal preference like the other guy said but, in my opinion, edit on release is way easier to use.

If u wanna edit faster try moving forward with space bar and jumping with W. It sounds dumb asf but it lets you edit a lot faster because you can use your wrist a lot more in the tapping motion when you aren’t holding down your middle finger which lets you edit faster
