Could not agree more, the humor built into each video really makes these reviews and videos standout. Its such a refreshing take on what can be an all too serious and snobby categories of videos on youtube. Lets keep it real and fun and cut through the nonsense.
Amazing production and top notch cinematography as always. It bogles the mind how your channel only has 48k subscribers, yours is by far the best watch channel on RU-vid, far exceeding those guys like BW, TB and TGV, and I do mean FAR exceeding those channels by lightyears.
Your video presentation of the Cartier Santos WSSA0047 heavily influenced my decision to see it in person. $7800 poorer, and still in the honeymoon phase with no end in sight. Thanks I think.
Loved this! I was actually inspired by you to start a second channel that’s specifically dedicated to my watch hobby, and like you, I just have fun with it and enjoy shooting and editing the content itself! Greetings from Seattle fellow PNW-ern 😄👍
Wow two Sinn watches in the top 10, I do own the 556i and totally agree with your opinion on that! I do love that Zenith Chronomaster its a beautiful time piece and I'm glad it got an honourable mention. :) Great video and love your format and why you do what you do!
Same. One of my best watch buying decisions was buying a used Tudor North Flag 3-4 years ago. It was “pre-scratched” and therefore I really wear it on my adventures. I probably would not if I had bought it new and unblemished.
South Korean viewer here. Ive watched most of ur vids and thumbs up for what u r doing👍🏻 Love the way u present the watch and share your honest input👍🏻
Great vid, Evan. I've been asking youtube and watch people this question all the time to no avail, but consider doing "10 most disappointing watches" next. I'm always curious which watches people were excited for/about and they just fell flat. Thanks!
"Looks like it was designed by a toddler told to design a watch that looks like it was designed by an infant." That's so good, love the channel, your writing and presentation is top notch!
So many watches - so little time …. Interesting retrospective Evan. Tutima really interests me too, the fact it’s not mainstream and people will wonder what it is, adds to the appeal. I really enjoy what you do - the use of colour, the angles, clever stuff and yet you wonder why so many other watch reviews do t follow your lead. I’ve unsubbed most watch channels over the last year. So predictable and generic. Your unique take on this keeps it fresh and very interesting. Keep doing it !
U reminded how watch collecting is not about how expensive it is, but how it resonates to your taste. Varies to all individually, but all in all... it's wat get your heart racing when u put it on. ✌
I will watch your videos for as long as you make them! Nothing beats the sublime commingling of watch facts and humor. My bank account may not love your videos, but I sure do!
Great video, thanks Evan! For me (and I should have asked if it matters) besides the Patek 5085, the Patek 5124 and the PAM0111. Both have been grail watches, with only the latter somewhat obtainable. Thank you for the effort and humor you put into your videos. This is truly a watch geek's must watch channel🙂👍
The coolest, and probably one of the most well presented and authentic watch channels on RU-vid. Hope you continue more videos and your channel continues to grow
@@YoureTerrific still young in my watch collecting journey. I’ve been eying in the Sinn 556 for a while now. Idk if I should pull the trigger. I guess the thing that intrigues me is the slim design and I like the bracelet design
I'm just along for the ride then...Fine by me. Love the humorous outlook and 100s of changing shots all in videos that are just long enough to learn about the watches.. Great vids man.
Keep on keeping on Evan! THE best watch channel on RU-vid and you deserve the success but how your subscribers number is still “only” 49k surprises me. Let’s spread the word towards 100k! That Green Dragon is such a looker btw, god almighty.
Yeah, I'd like to echo others comments, Evan. You're probably the best watch reviewer I've come across. Your production and delivery marks you out and shines a light on how easy it is to get things wrong, which many others do. I like the way that two Sinn's made it in to this list. I think the 556I is a great watch at any price. I'd imagine you don't have to try to hard to like it. I will own one...soon I hope.
Your vids are always well thought out and well produced. You have a different approach which is always welcome in my book. Even if I'm not interested in the watch in general ill always tune in, I can't say that about most channels so hats off to you sir.
I think the only one I didn't remember was the Porsche Design. Very cool. And the crazy Rado...that was such a fun one too.I could see it pairing in your kook box with the Louis Erard. You know I love your channel, but this gives me the chance to say it again.
Many thanks for all the great videos so far! I really like the music selections on your videos, it would be awesome to have a playlist of all the featured pieces. BTW You've got an amazing Japanese garden over there in Portland, maybe do a shoot with some Seikos or other Japanese beauties there :)
1. What a great job you’ve done and continue to do. Seriously, your vids are among the very best on the Tubes and I’m sure you derive a ton of pleasure from it. I know I do. 2. That fricken 221. I hope to (will) own one someday. It haunts me. I’ve convinced my brain that the scratches are the “part of my story” cliché. Whatever. They’re worth it just to own the dial/hands. Maybe a yearly trip back to GS for a refinishing? 3. I wanted the explorer also, but after researching & buying a Longines Conquest 39mm in black, I lusted no longer. The superior specs, finishing and history have cemented it as my favorite. So much so that the rest of my collection is in jeopardy. I don’t keep what I don’t wear and man this Conquest gets a lot of wrist time.
You were quite fond of the Formex Thirty Nine, but haven't mentioned it on your list - is that due to the fact that you own it or because you didn't find it worthy? I found your channel, due to me falling in love with the Formex, and I love your content! And right now im inches away from buying the Formex, just curious about your thoughts 🙂
I've been enjoying your videos for a while now. The production quality and style is great and the jokes always make me laugh. I also love the diversity of the watches that get reviewed. Don't know what more I can add to that. I'm always making time to watch your videos when I see a new one posted. Cheers.
Great list! I’ve had about half of those brands on my wrist at some point in my life, I don’t regret selling any of my watches but I do miss them. I could not have experienced some great watches unless I sold the old.
Homie, you need more ceramic in your life. You had a grey side, maybe revisit that and other ceramic watches since you have a hard time with scratches. PS, love the video!
Keep up the great work. It's an absolute pleasure watching your videos. If you want my opinion re the best watch - it will have to be the Panerai PAM 682! "For me!"
You’re good man, can’t deny that. Your selection spot on, trouble .. haven’t wore half or more of all.. Sinns yes! Rolex take a hike with your explorer trying to catch up to Sinn. Moser with their irreverent engineering solutions.., isn’t that one with the reversed movement layout??
I've always enjoyed your channel because it feels like making these is your hobby. A lot of channels seem like they must pump out crap content to keep getting people to watch, to make money, keep doing reviews, etc. I really like your editing style, the thumbnails, and even music. Please keep it up, but don't make it into some professional thing because what you are doing now is what the YT watch community needs more of, and less people trying to make it a career.
About scratches... I like them scratched. They seem more "real" and I get that sounds kinda weird, but it seems fake to me until it's got a few scratches to make it into a real object in my world
