So Hello guys...welcome back to my channel!
Today I would have pleasure to introduce you to my 10th Vintage Collection. 1970's Polar High Breeze Ceiling fan
Brand: Polar
Model: High Breeze
Sweep: not known(seems standard 48")
Colour:Red and Ivory
Weight in kg: around 20
Year of manufacture: Early-Mid 1970's
Capacitor: Vaishali 2.0 mfd(seems original with sleeve)
Mounting type: threaded rod
Manufacturer:Polar Fan Industries Ltd.INDIA
This is a complete cast iron motor fan and an heavy duty industrial fan which sadly due to company's mischief got wiped out of the market , this was originally made by polar back in 1970's but in same decade it was taken over by Sunil fan industries and later sumach electricals Pvt Ltd, Polar could again stand back only in the 1990's to again make their own fans...this is the first model and original premium product of polar alongside it's 24 carat. And available in different sizes also like 36",42",48" and the king size 56" also.sad to say that such products got discontinued as successors were garbage and couldn't compete with other brands..overall the quality is very good and a very good fan to keep with you..it won't trouble at all if handled properly by keeping calm and small things in mind. Very simple and easy to maintain as well...and a very good choice for collectors over usha popular/prima/Kohinoor or the Orient deluxe.i personally recommend every fan collector to have this champ with them! As this fan is worth the investment and a very rare gem no matter whatever size you get.
Overall
Thanks for watching
Hope you enjoyed the video!

Nice acquisition! 20Kg is very heavy indeed! I might be getting an old Vision ceiling fan (made in India) from a retailer who used to import them in my hometown! It depends if he finds one or not as new old stock... If in the meantime anybody finds a picture/video/advert of a Vision ceiling fan that you would like to share, I would appreciate it a lot, because I haven't seen a Vision fan for like 12 years now! Thanks

No, that is the Bangladeshi version I think. The one I remember, if I'm not mistaken has canopies like Orient Falcon. The blades, I completely forgot the design and the motor was quite modern, and had I think 2 black rings.

Wow! I had always liked these type of fans i mean their colour combinations (red-white). Polar fans were quite popular before. How much did you pay for this fan? What size it is? If possible try find ganesh ceiling fan they were generally in same colour combinations as polars. I had been trying finding a Ganesh ceiling fan Red-White colour.

I am aware of ganesh fans..they look just like this polar in this video..infact the ganesh fans have a more smoother looking motor with the same canopies..and yes ganesh fans can be found only in Hyderabad

Looks pretty much like my Khaitan high breeze from top view. But 20kg is nuts considering the fact that most fans now weigh somewhere between 3-4kg if you are considering normal ceiling fans and not the premium grade. Also why isn't cast iron used for building these products anymore? I guess the matrial is more expensive than aluminium
@electricalbro6308
@electricalbro6308 16 дней назад
@@heavydutymachine4102 hmm well this may look like khaitan but khaitan came in 1980's,this was before Khaitan,some renowned ppl claim that Khaitan is older but nope.its not and this fan is proof for that.....cast iron isn't used because who wants to lift heavy stuff nowadays ppl don't even want to turn on the switch to operate a fan.they need everything in hand what to say...worst part it is
@heavydutymachine4102
@heavydutymachine4102 16 дней назад
@@electricalbro6308 I think that the ones with the smaller motor are from the 80s whereas the ones with the wider motors are from late 70s in both this one and khaitan although I'm not sure. In Khaitan both fans have 18 pole motor , just the size of motor is bit smaller in the later variant. And yes I'm not really into the entire bldc remote control stuff , I also heard that some of those are made of plastic as well
@electricalbro6308
@electricalbro6308 16 дней назад
@@heavydutymachine4102 no... cause khaitan itself is a 1980's company and 18 pole was available till 1990's in Khaitan..well whatever, awesome fans those days which were running,are still running and will be running in the future as well if well kept

sumach electricals was the one who pioneered the winaire model in early 2000s and that took the fan market by storm. i think sumach dropped out around 2005 or so (not really sure) and then it went to polaron appliances and today its in the hands of viswa
